Chapter 2: Diplomacy in a new world
The small sailing ship headed towards the Brazilian imperial armada, getting closer they could see the task force Alpha, with its frigates and destroyers, all of them made of metal, but what really stood out in the immense metal fleet was its main ship, the NAeL São Paulo, the Admiral de Qua-Toine had never seen anything so big.
In the air flew three AH-1Z Viper helicopters and two F14 Super Tomcats, their noise was totally different from the wyverns, it sounded like a sound that evoked death. Should they try anything against the armada they would be immediately blown up by missiles and cannons.
The admiral knew not to take any rash action, for for this nation to possess steel ships they must be a great power, and if this proved to be the case they could become an important ally of his kingdom against Louria.
As they approached the gigantic metal ship a platform lowered so they could board.
The admiral entered the ship with half a dozen sailors, a truly breathtaking sight was seen when they reached the top, several iron wyverns were parked, ready to fly, he had heard that the third superpower, the Papaldia Empire, had created a ship to launch wyverns, it never occurred to him that another nation had done the same. The deck of that ship was so large that a battle between two armies could take place there.
A man who was around thirty years old in a white uniform approached him, escorted by soldiers in strange camouflage clothing and carrying black objects in their hands.
"Welcome aboard the aircraft carrier São Paulo, I am the Admiral of the Brazilian Imperial Navy, Paulo da Costa. I would like to apologize for invading your territorial sea. "
"I am Admiral of Qua-Toyne, Vermilion Likon. What is your reason for coming here?"
" Allow me to explain the situation, I am the Brazilian diplomat Adiran Henrique, we apologize for the invasion of your airspace by a reconnaissance plane of ours, and for entering your territorial sea without permission."
"Excuse me, but I don't know your nation, can you tell me where it is?"
"The Empire of Brazil is 1000 km to the east of your nation."
Admiral Vermilion had never heard of a nation east of Qua-Toyne, there was nothing there.
"I understand your confusion, we are not originally from this world. The Empire of Brazil wishes to establish diplomatic relations with your country."

Qua-Toyne Principality, government meeting
At this meeting of several heads of state, Prime Minister Kanata was concerned. In yesterday's incident regarding the defense of Kua Toine, the military reported that an unknown object invaded Myhak airspace, circled the city several times, and then left.
It was so fast that a dragon could not chase it and invaded from a higher altitude.
Its origin was completely unknown. There were red circles drawn on the ship, but no country in the world had such a national flag.
"Well, what do you guys think of this report? How should we interpret it?" he asked the room."
The intelligence representative raised his hand.
"According to our intelligence, Mu, the second largest country in the west and part of a great civilization, has developed a flying device that resembles this unknown object. h, while the object in the incident would have exceeded 600 km/h. But..."
"But what?"
"Yes. There are reports of an emerging power in the far west of Mu, outside the regions of the main civilizations, subduing the neighboring countries and making a furor. They have called themselves the Eighth Empire and have declared war on an alliance of countries belonging to the Second Civilization on the same continent, according to the intelligence in the report we received yesterday. Their weapons are completely unknown to us."
Light laughter rippled through the meeting room. By declaring war with a continent overseen by the Second Civilization, this new fledgling country made enemies of 2 of the 5 major powers within the three major civilizations. The idea was far beyond reckless.
"However, the Eighth Empire is far to the west of Mu. Even considering the distance from Mu to us, it is already over twenty thousand kilometers. It is hard to believe that the object of this incident could have come from there."
The meeting returned to the fact that they simply did not know anything. In any case, tensions with the Rowlian Kingdom continued, forcing their nation into a constant state of semi-emergency. This new incident was just an additional headache for the leadership. If the object was an ally, simply making contact would be enough, so deliberately performing a hostile act like invading its airspace meant that the chances of it being an enemy were quite high.
At that moment, a young foreign affairs official burst into the meeting, completely out of breath. Normally, such an action would be unthinkable, so clearly something urgent had happened.
"What's wrong?"
"Reporting!" the official exclaimed loudly.
The official gave his report, which was as follows:
This morning, on the northern coast of Qua-Toine, a giant sea vessel of approximately 25,000 tons appeared. According to the navy, they met an envoy from a country calling itself the "Empire of Brazil", who reported that they had no hostile intentions. After a thorough investigation, the following was recorded. These are the envoy's statements.
- The country known as the Empire of Brazil was suddenly transferred to this world.
- Having lost all contact with their original world, they sent a patrol aircraft to explore. On this occasion, this patrol discovered a nearby land mass.
- In the course of the patrol, they illegally entered your country and invaded our airspace. They offer their deepest apologies.
- They would like to propose diplomatic talks with Qua-Toine.
After hearing this outrageous story, everyone in the meeting room seemed incredulous. However, it was undeniable that there was an invader in the city's airspace yesterday, and they also could not ignore the independently verified report of the unbelievably huge 25,000-ton ship on the north coast with its escort fleet of another 30,000 tons.
An entire country transferring worlds seemed like something from the realm of mythology; it should not be possible in reality. Regardless, the power held by the empire of Brazil has already been confirmed, so to begin with we should know its envoy.

Qua-Toyne Government Headquarters, Conference Room
A man wearing a black suit holding a briefcase entered the room, he was the Brazilian diplomat, the ministers inside knew they could not anger this man, if their country wished to expand then there was little they could do to stop him.
"It is a pleasure to meet you gentlemen, I am diplomat Adiran Henrique, I come on behalf of His Majesty Luiz, representing the Empire of Brazil."
"It is an honor to meet you diplomat Adiran, I am the Prime Minister of Qua-Toyne, Yagou d'lajes."
"I would like to begin this meeting by asking your forgiveness for one of our patrol planes having entered your airspace without permission, and also for the invasion of your territorial sea."
Minister Yagou did not know what a territorial sea was, but accepted the diplomat's apology nonetheless.
"The Empire of Brazil wishes to establish diplomatic relations with Qua-Toyne."
The ministers calmed down a bit. Seeing that the attitude of that man was not arrogant like the Papaldians.
"Could you tell us a little about your nation, mister diplomat." -One of the ministers commented.
"Sure, we have prepared a document explaining about our culture and trade."
A paper was distributed to them, just by the quality it was possible to see the technological level of the Empire of Brazil. However, there was one problem...
"Mr. Ambassador, I am sorry to tell you, but we cannot understand what is written"
That was an unexpected situation for Adiran, those people spoke Portuguese, but could not read the Portuguese language. It was obvious that the linguistic coincidence could not be that convenient.
"We have prepared a presentation in case there was any language barrier, I ask you to wait a minute."
After a minute a soldier entered carrying an image projector, with that the meeting could be continued.
An image of a flag that they had never seen was shown. The quality of that image was great, which surprised everyone.
"The Empire of Brazil was discovered a little over 500 years ago, by a country called the Portuguese Empire. At the time there were only small primitive tribes living in the territory."
A couple of images were passed around, among them this one of a ship arriving in an unknown land.
" The country had its gold reserves exploited and the land was used to plant commodities, until 307 years after its discovery the Portuguese royal family comes to Brazil fleeing enemy troops who threatened to take over their nation."

"Fifteen years later the situation stabilized in Portugal, but King Dom Pedro 1* refused to go and declared Brazil's independence."
A video was shot, showing a replay of the declaration of independence, with the climax being Dom Pedro 1* declaring his phrase "Independence or death!"
"Leaving the history part aside and moving into the economic sector, our GDP or in a more summarized way, the wealth of the country is around 9.0 trillion reais, being our currency."
That gigantic number stunned everyone, they had never seen such wealth in a single country.
"Ambassador Adiran is that number correct?"
"Yes, Mr. Prime Minister."
Those in the room found this information hard to believe.
"Our country is one of the largest exporters of food in the world, with a large part of our wealth coming from that."
"Much of Qua-Toyne's economy also comes from food exports, but in the last few years we have had a problem in the composites, a strange black water has been gushing out of the earth, because of this our crops have been shrinking, do you know of any way to deal with this?"
The economy of Qua-Toyne was severely affected by the black water that destroyed the crops and it was extremely difficult to get rid of, if that nation that suddenly appeared could help them, their country would meet them with open arms.
"Perhaps I can help your country deal with this black water, Mister Yago."
"Is that true? If so we will thank you very much."
