Chapter 18: The rage of a Super Soldier
Lucifer minds was a constant roar. A white hot fury that consumed his senses. All his technique was lost he just rent and tore at the army of monsters. Wounds accumulated on his body but he paid them no heed. His clothes were watched through with blood and Luke and Annabeth stared at his mindless fury.
Piles of dust laid in his path that he carved through the monsters. Hellhounds fled from his anger as the furies screamed in front of his wrath. He was surrounded by a crimson haze that enhanced his strikes and quickened his regeneration. Wounds healed as they peeled open and his weapons rang from the strikes.
His body changed with his rampage. His skin changed to plate like scales as his eyes shifted from their dark amber to blazing yellow. Monsters melted from acid or ran screaming as they were set ablaze.
Then all was quiet, all was left was mountains of dust that slowly blew away with the wind. The winds revealed a black drakon with a heaving chest. As Luke, Annabeth and Grover watched the drakon shifted to a muscular young man with black hair and a single steak of white. The dark amber eyes were closed as the man lay there unconscious.
Luke shook himself from his shock and ran over, pouring nectar on the remaining wounds and force feeding Lucifer ambrosia. He then heaved the teenager on his back and walked back to Grover and Annabeth.
"He needs rest." Luke said quickly noting Annabeths hints of fear and Grovers terror. Grover shook himself and said.
"Right. This way." He started leading them up the hill to a big blue house. Standing in the porch was a half man half horse. Luke and Annabeth slowed in response.
"Grover." The centaur said hurriedly. "You are here. Where is the child of Zeus." At the words child of Zeus Annabeth started crying and Luke's face hardened. Shaking that aside he strode up to the centaur.
"Whoever you are he needs rest and quickly."
"Right. Right this way." The centaur responded leading the way into the house. Annabeth and Grover followed quickly.
