Not only had the Mechanical Dawn deployed their core Awakened unit, but they'd also sent out external combat squads. Figures dressed in black tactical gear silently navigated the Perpetual Night District, planning to apprehend all twelve interviewees.

As the compact drone relayed this scene from the sky, Jonathan's eyelid twitched in brief surprise and soon shifted into introspection.
