Chapter 28: Chapter 26: Annabelle
Waking up Annabelle felt arms wrapped around her and someone pressed against her back. She started to freak out, thinking that Johnny had snuck into her room in the middle of the night and was now in bed with her. She was just about to rip the arm off her and jump off the bed when she saw what was on the arm, her mate mark. Seeing that mark brought back all the memories from the night before and Annabelle smiled. The day had started off terrible, with Johnny trying to control her, but it ended with her in her mates arms.
Looking behind her at Fenris Annabelle's heart melted at the sight. Fenris was still fast asleep, her dark black hair fanned out on her pillow and her mouth just slightly open. Normally Annabelle would say that Fenris was cool or sexy, but right now the older girl looked so cute.
Turning around slowly, so she didn't wake Fenris, Annabelle gave the girl a hug and kiss on the cheek. She then started to slowly wiggle her way out of Fenris' tight grasp around her body. However when ever Annabelle would move Fenris would try to bring her back to her, so it took Annabelle at least ten minutes to finally get out of the bed.
Standing up Annabelle slowly opened the door and walked to the bathroom to do her morning business. When she was done she walked to the kitchen and saw the clock on the microwave said it was 9:38 AM. [I'm gonna surprise Fenris with breakfast!]
Searching through the fridge Annabelle found a dozen eggs, bacon and orange juice. Putting all the ingredients on the counter she opened a cupboard door and instantly found the plates, some bowls and a pan.
Putting the pan on the stove Annabelle turned the stove on and then placed the bacon in the pan. As the bacon cooked she grabbed two plates and set it on the little counter that had two little stools under it. Seeing she needed to flip the bacon Annabelle searched through the drawers until she found the forks, putting two forks with the plates she used a third to flip the bacon over. Grabbing one of the bowls Annabelle decided to just scramble the eggs, using all twelve for their breakfast. The bacon finally done Annabelle moved them onto a plate and poured the scrambled eggs in the pan. Grabbing a spatula from another drawer she stood in front of the pan, stirring the eggs every few seconds.
The eggs were almost done when Annabelle felt someone wrap their arms around her from behind, the scent confirming it was Fenris.
"Good morning baby. What are you making?"
"Just bacon and eggs. It's almost done so you can go sit down."
Fenris just hummed to that and continued to stand behind Annabelle and nuzzle her head into Annabelle's neck. The eggs were now done and Annabelle was taking them off the stove when she thought she heard Fenris say 'apple'.
"What was that?" Annabelle asked, turning around.
"What was what?"
"I thought I heard you say 'apple'."
Fenris blushed and looked up, "Oh, you heard that. I was just mesmerized that even this early you smell like almonds and apples."
Taking that as a compliment Annabelle just kissed Fenris on the cheek and went to portion out the eggs, giving Fenris a little more than herself, and grabbing the plate with the bacon on it and setting it down between their plates.
"Fenris could you pour the orange juice?"
"Sure thing."
Once she poured them each a glass Fenris sat down and the two began to eat in a comfortable silence. Annabelle finished rather quickly and stood up taking the dishes to the sink and rinsed them off before putting them in the dishwasher.
"Annabelle?" Fenris called out, still sitting at the counter.
"Yes?"
"What do I smell like to you?" Fenris asked.
Closing the dishwasher door Annabelle leaned against the counter, crossed her arms, and thought about it. She had never really tried to describe what Fenris' scent was, she just always associated it with Fenris. "I guess you smell like the woods and something kind of sweet like honey or vanilla. It's hard to explain it properly, but it's you." Fenris was now sitting with a wide smile on her face, staring at Annabelle. "What?"
"Nothing, I'm just happy." Standing up Fenris grabbed her plate and walked over putting it into the dishwasher. "I'm going to take a shower and after we can do anything you want." Fenris said.
"Can we go to Ray's? Mary is there and she said she would grab some of my stuff from the house."
"Of course baby. I'll text Ray and tell him we're coming over today."
"Yay!" Annabelle jumped up and threw her arms around Fenris kissing her a quick on the lips. "Now go!"
Laughing Fenris bent down and kissed Annabelle again before walking to the bathroom.
Elated Annabelle ran to the bedroom and grabbed a red sweatshirt since it was starting to get cold outside. She threw it on over her sleep clothes because she didn't have anything else to wear besides her clothes from yesterday.
Practically skipping back into the living room Annabelle sat on the couch and turned the TV on, waiting for Fenris. Going through the channels Annabelle saw a show Fenris said she watched called criminal minds, so she stopped on it and watched it.
Five minutes in and Annabelle found the show both fascinating and horrifying. Not that the show itself was horrifying, but the fact that people out there in the world probably did such things was.
Muting the show Annabelle could hear the shower turning off. Not wanting to watch criminal minds any further Annabelle went to change the channel when her eyes stopped on the door from yesterday. The door Fenris looked nervous about Annabelle looking in.
Looking down the hall she saw the light of the bedroom on indicating Fenris was getting dressed.
Smiling evilly Annabelle rushed forward to the door and dropped down to sit on the ground in front of it. Looking behind her one last time Annabelle opened the door. What was inside shocked her.
There were four binder. The one on top was a large black binder with a yellow mouse thing in the front sleeve cover. [No wait I know that character, it's, it's Pikachu! Pikachu? Why is there a binder with Pikachu on it?]
Pulling the binder out Annabelle opened it, and inside were a bunch of sleeves filled with Pokémon cards. [Is Fenris a secret Otaku? But she didn't know about the animes I told her about. What if she just likes Pokémon?]
Grabbing the next one Annabelle saw that that one was also filled with Pokémon cards. [Oh my Goddess! Fenris has a secret obsession for Pokémon! That is so funny and cute!]
Hearing the bedroom door open Annabelle quickly put the two binders back in the cabinet and closed the door as Fenris walked in, wearing a navy blue t-shirt and jeans her left arm was on full display showing off her mate mark. Bounding over to Fenris, Annabelle hugged her, hiding her smiling face in Fenris' chest.
"Hey baby, you ready to go see Mary?"
"Yeah let's go!" Annabelle yelled, grabbing Fenris' hand and pulling her out the front door.
Locking the door Fenris laughed at Annabelle's rush to go. "Okay hold on, we're gonna have to fly there because Ray has my car."
"Why does Ray have your car?" Annabelle asked.
"When I left school last week he took it with him so it wouldn't get towed from school." Fenris explained, grabbing Annabelle's hand and pulling her towards the open field next to the apartment complex.
Walking into the middle of the field Fenris pulled Annabelle into her and held her, extending her wings to their full length and shaking them out. "I'm going to carry you bridal style and it should take about ten minutes to get there okay." Annabelle just nodded and Fenris bent down putting an arm around her shoulders and behind her knees, then stood back up and holding Annabelle to her chest. "Hold on tight." Fenris said, just as she bent low and jumped in the air. Annabelle felt the rush of the air and squealed, hiding her face in Fenris' neck.
After a few minutes of constant flying Annabelle peaked out from her hiding spot and saw the amazing sight of the world passing by. Being the huge Disney fan she is Annabelle started to lightly sing 'A Whole New World, from Aladdin on repeat for the rest of the trip.
Setting down lightly on the ground outside of Ray's pack house Fenris gently put Annabelle down and kissed her. "I love that movie." she said.
Annabelle looked up at her confused, "What movie?"
"Aladdin. I heard you singing 'A Whole New World'."
Annabelle blushed, "You heard that?" she asked.
"I did. You have a good voice." Fenris said, chuckling lightly.
"Annie!" Mary yelled running towards the two. [Oh thank the Goddess! Mary save me from my humiliation.] When Mary got close she literally flung herself at Annabelle and tackled her younger sister to the ground, giggling the whole time.
"Oww." Annabelle groaned, Mary still on top of her giggling up a storm.
"Hi Annabelle I missed you. Are you okay?" leaning in close Mary whispered into Annabelle's ear, "Is Fenris treating you okay? You can always stay here, I'll have Ray beat her up if she isn't."
"Everything's fine Mary I promise." Annabelle said, pushing Mary off her.
Mary got off the ground, "That's good. Tell me if anything changes." she warned turning to Fenris and going in to give her a hug when she saw Fenris' left arm.
Mary screamed, she stood there and screamed staring at Fenris' arm. Running out of air is what finally stopped the scream, for a second, before Mary flung herself at Annabelle again and continued screaming.
"What's wrong?! I heard Mary from the other side of the house? Fenris what happened? Mary are you okay?!" Ray asked, rushing over with a worried expression on his face.
Mary pointed at Fenris' arm, causing Ray to look at it, and he too screamed picking up Fenris and spinning her around.
Fenris pushed herself out of her best friends embrace and went and grabbed her mate out of her sisters. Wrapping her arms around Annabelle's waist from behind Fenris glared at the two, making Annabelle chuckle and kiss her cheek.
"So you two are mates?! I knew it! Why didn't you tell me?!" Mary asked, accusingly.
Annabelle rolled her eyes, "When was I supposed to tell you? Before, or after you tackled me to the ground."
"Whatever. Come on I have your things and you need to tell me everything." Mary said, pulling Annabelle from Fenris' hold and dragging her to the house.
"Oh Annabelle, before you two get to into talking, I wanted to formally invite you to Thanksgiving dinner. Fenris is already going, and my dad is personally uninviting your parents." Ray yelled after them as Mary continued to drag Annabelle away.
[Oh crap! I forgot about Thanksgiving! Then Christmas is just right around the corner and I don't have any gifts! Oh Goddess what am I going to do.]
