Chapter 6: 6 : Wild Pet and Blood contract

Great Magus Pet Store...

Kent stood before the entrance with a serene smile. From childhood, he always wanted a nice pet of his own. In the past, he used to fly on Thea's pet to run errands for her. But since last year, she didn't even allow him to touch her pet.

"Finally, today is my dream come true." Kent muttered as he stepped inside the store. Stella has already left her store as she decided to play hard games to attract Kent.

The pet store is a single large room without any private spaces. Magical screens are placed in one single line as a display of pets. The store is packed with people, and staff assistants were helping a few rich customers personally.

Kent walked along the line to find an empty screen to select a good pet. From the outside of the glass doors, Kent saw an open field where several types of pets were stationed for ready sale. But house eagles were in large numbers among the pets as they were very cheap and didn't require any special feeding.

But even after waiting for a long time, Kent didn't find an empty screen. The staff are readily occupying the screens to engage rich customers. No one cared about Kent's presence, as his ordinary outfit didn't attract anyone.

Meanwhile, Kent's gaze landed on three empty screens opposite the single row of screens. Those three screens looked different with their decorative looks and bigger size.

After hesitating for a second, Kent approached the screens and began swiping his finger over one screen to see the images of different types. Kent's eyes went wide as the pets displayed on this screen were entirely different and more attractive.

With a smiling face, Kent began observing every pet type. He used the zoom feature to read the description. The prices mentioned were also in the range of 400–700 gold coins.

"Ria, I will help this customer. Go to the VIP screen. We have a big customer there." Sony, the senior staff member, instructed Ria, who joined the pet store as a fresher.

Ria nodded her head and left without asking any questions. She knew that Sony had pushed her purposefully. "Hmmhh… what a cunning lady! If he is really a capable VIP customer, she would have licked his shoes by now." Ria muttered while moving towards Kent, who was staring at the screen with wide, open eyes.

Ria's frustration grew after seeing Kent. The manager already warned them to keep normal customers away from VIP screens. "If the manager sees that brat now, I will be doomed." Ria hurriedly reached Kent in quick steps.

"Sir… Sir, sorry for the interruption. These screens are meant for VIP customers who can afford costly pets. I will help you choose more affordable pets. Please come with me." Ria said without showing any frustration.

"Sorry, I really don't know that these are VIP screens. But, miss, please don't misjudge me. I can really afford these pets. Could you help me choose a good pet? I promise you... I will definitely buy one." Kent spoke honestly and prepared to take out his golden piggy card.

"Its ok… Even if you can't buy one, I won't mind. I'm also new to this job. Let me show my skill." Ria replied as she thought of using Kent to demonstrate her skill of helping guests choose a pet.

"Hello sir, What type of pet were you looking for?" Ria started with a cheerful smile.

"I want a defensive-type pet... It should look attractive, and I prefer pets with special abilities. Most importantly, the pet must be unique. I'm ready to pay the full cost at once." Kent stated his conditions and crossed his arms to see how Ria would respond.

"Hahaha, good choice, sir. You really came to the right place. Let me give you a brief intro to defensive and attractive pets inside my store." Ria said it with a smile and moved onto the screen to explain.

"Sir, there are three different categories of pets available to VIP customers. The first is Epic-rank pets, which cost around 400–600 gold; the second is Legendary-rank pets, which cost 600–800 gold; and the final category is Wild Beasts.

Wild beasts are not readily available. The green Magus pet store head department will mark a few beats, and when one customer orders a wild best, we will catch the beast, and a master Magus will tame the beast in one day. Most importantly wild beasts have a features of blood contract with its Master." Ria explained while moving her fingers on the screen, showing different types of pets available in each category.

Kent smiled with an understanding nod while taking a look at the screen. "Miss, what is the cost of a wild beast?" Kent asked curiously as the wild beasts shown on the screen were more imposing and had a better description.

"Sir, they would cost around 1000 gold. Depending on the type of pet you want, the price varies. Also, our store is offering a 30% discount card on your pet decoration at any place in this city." Ria said with a proud smile and moved her fingers onto the wild beasts tab.

"Sir, let me show you some wild beasts and their features. You can decide after taking a look. Please don't worry about asking more questions. I'm at your service." Ria spoke in a humble tone as she moved onto the holographic magic platform attached to the screen.

Immediately, a 3D model of a large beast took shape before Kent's vision. Like a professional assistant, Ria moved the image as she liked. Sir, as you requested a defensive, unique, and attractive pet, our store has three options for you.

"This one is Griffin; look at its lion face; it is ferocious at the time of defense. The second one is Wyvern; this pet almost looks like a dragon and has the capacity to sore high skies. For the last one, we have Kirin." As Ria changed the image to a Kirin, a horse-shaped beast with a dragon face appeared on the 3D platform.

The Kirin beast contains a single horn like a unicorn and is glowing with a bright red and white combination. The teenagers and children who came for fun had already gathered around Kent and Ria after seeing the advanced 3D models.

A loud murmuring started as the crowd gazed at the Kirin. Kent got busy reading the description of the pet. He really liked the special features mentioned for Kirin. He wondered, without wings, how it would fly in the skies.

"Ms. Ria, if this Kirin didn't have any wings, then how could it fly in the sky?" Kent questioned with a confused face. Some of the adults who were watching the 3D models smirked after hearing his question.

"Sir, Kirin is a unique beast. It can fly with the help of momentum, and by birth, these are magic beasts that control their movement with free will. So, do you like this Kirin, sir?" Ria asked, still acting all professional. She liked how everyone was focusing on her as she explained the details to Kent.

"Yeah… I liked this one. What is its price?" Kent asked with a smiling face as his gaze focused on Kirin.

"You can't afford it even in your next life." A young man among the onlookers murmured as he laughed with his friends.

Ria ignored those remarks and checked the current sale price of the Kirin on the screen. "Sir, after discounts, this will cost you 1049 gold. Also, I finished my demonstration. Let's move now." Ria replied as her demeanor changed from humble assistant to serious girl. Her tall physique and zero-sized body provided an alluring sight for onlookers.

"Miss, I would like to buy this one. Please process the order." Kent spoke while showing Ria his golden piggy card.

"Wah…"
