"...Ely. There are many things I'd like to ask, but first, just one point. When the knight commander tried to force the server to eat the food, why didn't you intervene?"

Upon returning to the room after the dinner party, Serena's first words were this question.

Perhaps Serena wanted to say this: 'Wouldn't it have been better to keep the server alive and make them reveal the mastermind behind the poisoning?'.

If I didn't know who the mastermind was, I might have done that. But since I know that everything was orchestrated by Bruce, I chose to do nothing.

"What do you think of the knight commander?" I asked since, it would have been impossible to find the culprit even if I had intervened to save the server's life.
