Chapter 23: Isolation 1
After a five hour sleep we spent the next day walking around and admiring the nature around us. We watched as the Day changed from morning to evening and then Night. After enjoying every bit of the stay in the grass field, We Departed early morning next day.
On our way back we didn't faced any life threatening mana beasts. Only two or three smaller ones just like the boars. And around noon we were in front of the Portal that we came from. Just like when we came here, Adolf showed the portal guard a token, The guard looked at all of us strangely because we were all covering our faces with White masks.
But he kept his mouth shut and opened the portal gate. Soon, My first club activity was over just like that.

*RING* *RING* *RIN-* * CRUSH*
In a luxurious room, A woman with Bluish hair woke up while crushing the ringing alarm. As she got off her bed and stood up, Her hair which was tied in a bun loosened up and fell swaying in the air.
After pouring her self some hot coffee while still in her night gown, She sat on a nearby chair and took out a white stick which turned in to a holographic tablet.
While sipping on her coffee, Her crystal blue eyes looked through each notification she Got as if she was looking for a specific text.
" Tsk. Still no Update huh? " She muttered in an irritated tone as she closed the holographic screen.
' What are you up to now, ADEUS '
After finishing her coffee, She went on and got ready to attend her daily routine.

In a place that looks like a training basement.
" Good Morning Master Aurora " Lucas said enthusiastically as he greeted Professor Aurora.
" Good Morning Lucas, It seems you have finally broken Through to the (E+) Rank. " Aurora said while faintly smiling.
In the little time she spent with Lucas, She got to know more about him, because Lucas was so open about himself and considered Aurora as his master whole heartedly.
Gradually this naive behavior of Lucas made Aurora think that Her disciple is cute as she unknowingly loosened her guard whenever she's with him. Now it has come to the point, where she faintly smiles whenever she's around Lucas.
" Yes master, But couldn't you at least sound a little surprised when you say it. I am already loosing my confidence thinking that I am not showing much growth. " Lucas said in a somewhat disappointed tone.
" Don't loose confidence kiddo, You are better than your peers. And if you keep this up, soon you'll be on par with second years. " Aurora said while ruffling Lucas' hair.
" Ok, Now less talking and more doing. Do thousand downward sword slashes. " Aurora said as her usual expression returned to her face.
" Yes, Right away Master. " Lucas said as he summoned his sword and got to work.

" To advance in your mana core rank, First You need to cultivate mana and create A condensed mana layer around your mana core. By doing so will help you absorb and store more mana within you, while strengthening your body by increasing the mana flow of your veins. "
" But there are limitations, According to your mana core potential, time it takes for you to upgrade your mana core rank can be wary. Simply put the more you reach your potential cap the harder it is to increase you mana core rank. " Professor Aurora said while closely eying each cadet of the class.
" Yawn. " I am currently in the first class of the day, The Mana theory class.
I won't be able to join the next club activity because, I at least needs to be E rank to join. So until the first main incident happens, My days will be somewhat dull from here on out.
' Well, now that I don't have anything special to do within the next one and half month. I should use this chance to get my special privilege that the highest scorer in the entrance exam gets. He He. ' I thought to my self while faintly laughing.
" Avion Dragonheart. Wipe off that creepy laugh from your face and pay attention to lecture. " Professor Aurora said in a hostile indifferent tone.

' The fu*k. Can't I even laugh with my self. Does she have something against me? ' I though to my self as I nodded towards her with the sweetest smile I could put on. But that proved useless as the intense of her hostile gaze increased more as I felt a chill run down in my spine.
*Sigh*
Sighing, I focused on her lecture, although I already knew what she's teaching before hand. That is all the more reason I needs to use my privilege right now.
Academy system is very rewarding. So whenever someone scores the highest marks in a entrance exam, They gets the special privilege of using the academy isolation chamber for two months, Which are only accessible by the third years.
And in my case, thanks to previous Avion scoring the highest mark, I can use this privilege. So I'll spent next one and half month in the isolation chamber and try my best to increase my rank.
Isolation chambers aren't located inside the academy ground. To guarantee the students hundred percent isolation and peace, They are located in a mountain area owned by the academy and that is also the place where the head masters mansion is located in.
But that isn't the only reason for it to be located in the mountain area. Those mountains are very rich with pure mana because their is a mana stone mine which is also a property of academy headmaster located around the isolation chambers. So it is the perfect place for me if I want to advance the ranks faster.

Unlike usual, Today as soon as the Mana theory class ended I ran towards the school entrance and followed behind professor Aurora.
" Excuse me professor Aurora. " I said while following behind the blue haired woman in front of me.
After hearing my voice she stopped In her tracks and turned around, looking directly in to my eyes.
As our eyes locked, I was almost about to be lost in her blue crystal like eyes which shone even more beautifully in the day light. But thankfully as soon as she so me the look in her eyes turned in to a look of irritation, Which in return saved me from wondering in her eyes.
" What is it? " Professor Aurora asked in usual way of irritation.
" I would like to use my privilege for scoring highest in the entrance exam. " I told her with a serious straight face without losing eye contacts.
For a moment I saw a look of disappointment in her eyes. I probably knew why.
' She thinks it's a waste to give me the privilege of entering the isolation chamber. It's ok, That is all the more reasons I need to train hard and prove her wrong. ' I thought to myself with determination etched in to my eyes.
" When will you claim it? " After contemplating for a moment, she asked me.
" The soonest Professor Aurora Can. "
" The soonest will be about two hour from now. Then You should Go and prepare to depart, I'll arrange everything. " Professor Aurora said, But this time there wasn't any indifference laced in her tone. Only pity.
Although professor Aurora hates weak and lazy people, She admires Weak but hardworking people. May be she thought I was a lazy bum from the way I act. Always Sitting in the back bench, Leaving the class last and to add salt to all of it I wasn't even in the gym area in the past weekend.
Although she knows the club I joined, She doesn't look in to the club details much, as she regards all clubs as extracurricular activities. So I understands somewhat what she is thinking. But that still doesn't justify her hostile glances towards me.
" Yes Professor Aurora, I'll be waiting. " I told her and parted ways with her. There are somethings I need to prepare beforehand.
