Chapter 20: All awkward
"No, no. It is only money that I have." Fey Wesonga said quickly while covering his chain with his chubby hands. He was fearing that Lazy Wafula was also going to ask him for it. Even though the chain was cheap, to his family, this chain hold big memories to him and he will not give it out no matter what.
"Hmph!" 'Why did you say that it was only money that I want, as if you can add something else to it?' Lazy Wafula disdained him. He was not conniving so, he can not ask for more after he just said he wanted a few thousands. He will just have to go with that amount for now.
"Let's go hunting then. I will be quick because I want to go back to Iwefwe planet and fix some things." Lazy Wafula said as he got himself from the wall which he was leaning on.
Fey Wesonga was speechless. If anyone heard what Lazy Wafula had just said, they would have pummeled him. To say that he wanted to do it quick? Quick your foot. The beasts will not just stop there and allow you to slash their heads, alright?
Truthfully, Fey Wesonga was not a fool, he had scanned Lazy Wafula and felt a suffocating aura from him that can only be felt on those powerful beings that come from higher races, that was why he decided to join Lazy Wafula.
As they walked, Fey Wesonga asked, "man, I haven't known your name yet. Do you care to share? Also, you should tell me your bank link so that I will be able to send you money when I get back home."
"Just call me Lazy Wafula. And as for the bank link..." Lazy Wafula paused for a moment while thinking what he can give him but he found out that he didn't own a thing on Iwefwe let alone having a bank account.
"Just give me your phone number and I will call you when I get back." Lazy Wafula said nonchalantly after much consideration.
"A phone number???" Fey thought for a moment while racking his brain and finally decided to give Lazy Wafula his phone link and as for the phone number that Lazy Wafula was talking about, that he didn't knew. Fey Wesonga didn't thought much about Lazy Wafula's reluctance to give him his bank link because he knew many people didn't like sharing their information. He picked up a dried bone from the ground and ingrained his phonelink on the piece of bone using his blood energy. A black razor like laser appeared on his finger which he used to ingrain his phone link on it. After finishing, he gave it back to Lazy Wafula who pocketed it without even casting a glance at the information.
Quickly, they strode towards the gate.
"Is that Fey Wesonga. The guy has been in this shelter for a long time and he hadn't evolved, he sure is a duffer."
"Who is that guy beside the duffer. I have never seen him in this shelter."
"That is probably a new guy. Let him go and hunt for beasts for now and when he come back, I will teach him a lesson about what newbies should do in this shelter. The shelter has become so dirty and we need new blood to clean this place."
"This guy came at the right time. Look at his features. He is just like that duffer. I think they are both humans, that lower race that is not even on the survival ladder."
"That just make things easier for us, Sir Otieno had been making our life in this shelter a hard one. I think if we take that newbie to him, maybe he can get his hands off us."
"You are right. Why didn't I thought of that earlier. Let's finish what Sir Otieno had assigned us to do and wait for that newbie to come back after his hunt. We will hand him over to Sir Otieno afterwards."
Discussions like this one were going on wherever Fey Wesonga and Lazy Wafula passed by. As Lazy Wafula got away from the graffiti area going towards the gate, he started seeing new faces which were hiding ill intent towards him but he didn't care because those people are only flies in his eyes. When he become strong, those people will bow before him. As for their ill will, he will not overlook it, what he needed to do right now was to hunt down the beasts and come back to deal with those puny beings later.
Just like that, they managed to get out of the shelter without anyone standing in front of them.
"Where do you think we should head to. I want to start dealing with those beasts of level one. I have not filled that level yet, you know." Lazy Wafula turned to Fey Wesonga questioningly. What he was seeing outside the shelter was just some bushes and a forest that expand further as far as his eyes could see. He can clearly sense a faint aura of bloodthirstiness hiding in there.
Fey Wesonga had also not filled out his level one bar completely so, he quickly accepted to take Lazy Wafula to where he wanted.
"I think we should try the Destroyed Fate mountains. It is a place which is full of level one beasts of different varieties. One person may not fare better in there but we are two which is enough." Fey Wesonga said quickly while scanning the map in his hands.
