Chapter 20: Shopping List
Claire got up to get dressed for the day. As she was walking downstairs she met up with Sam.
"Did you dream that we had to run from the countryside house?" Sam asked but he already knew the answer.
"Mmm." Claire gave a nod and they continued down.
"There are serveal things that I notice. Did you realize the samething?"
"The only thing I think we can do is leave more earlier and try to level up more when we get our abilities."
"Yeah, instead of leaving 3 to 4 months from now we should leave right after school gets out and make sure we have all of the supplies delivered to the house."
"We only have three more weeks until schools out. We are going to have to do some serious shopping to prepare. I think you and mom are going to have some fun with that," Sam nudged Claire as he teased her about shopping.
"Like you have any room to talk. You take forever when you decide between brand names," Claire rolled her eyes at him. "Let's go to the table to see if anyone else is up."
When they arrived in the dinning room they could see their mom in the kitchen and their dad at the table. Their two brothers weren't there.
"Good morning," the twins called out.
"Good morning to you too. Did you get a good night's sleep? Did you both have the same dream?" Sarah couldn't help but ask. Sarah was bringing the dishes to the table.
"Yeah, we had the same dream but it was different than the other dream," Sam answered back. "Me and Claire agreed that we should leave as soon as school let's out and we should prepare more supplies."
"Oh, is there a specific reason we need to leave so soon?"
"We want to be more prepared at the country house. We need it to be more fortified to prevent attacks. In our dream we were forced to leave because the base wasn't able to stop them and we weren't strong enough to defend against them," Claire explained.
"Don't worry. I'll make a reservation for the country house and once that's done we can make online orders to be delivered there when we are there," James decided to speak up. "If all else I will make the reservation now and we can make it our safe house."
"That works for us. Do you think everyone would be up to more information after we get back from school. We still need to talk about the monsters, mutated plants, and mutated animals," Claire really wanted to finish the conversation from last night.
"Alright dear, we will talk after your school day is over. What do you say we also make a list of items we must need for our move as well as to secure the house." For some reason Sarah had a look of excitement from the idea of making a shopping list.
"Honey, its fine to make a shopping list but make sure the top of the list is items that our top priority. We don't want to be stuck with items that isn't usefull," James gave some advice to his wife as he knows how she gets when they go shopping together for groceries.
"Hmph, maybe you should make the reservation for that house," Sarah retorted back at him.
While they were all talking the two brothers walked in. They were both sporting shadows under their eyes from no sleep.
Sam couldn't help himself and asked, "What did you both do? It looks like you were admiring the ceiling all night."
With an eyeroll Kevin retorted, "I couldn't sleep. All I could see when I closed my eyes was your face."
When he said that it set Sam off, now the two are having a face off. As they were bickering Johnathan walks in gives Claire a pat on the head and sat down next to their father.
Johnathan explains why they were tired, "We stayed awake to watch the videos you set us. It gave more context on what you told us. We ended up talking about it till late."
With a shrug Johnathan gets ready to eat. "I know what you mean. Me and Sam only had our dream to base it off and the videos helped get a timeline going." Claire responded, "The thing is we should move our departure date forward. We had another dream last night."
"Don't forget we were discussing what to put for the shopping list," Sarah didn't want to let the shopping list go. "I really want to get the list started."
