Chapter 2: Xian Hu
A young woman was running through the streets holding a blue-eyed baby covered with white cloth on her hands, chased by a group of bulky men in black. Wounds were seen all over her body, in fact, it was clear as a day that she, was tortured before.
She quickly ran into a sidewalk with the baby in her hands, which made the black men to lose her exact location instantly.
She panted due to the tiredness, but didn't gave in though.
She went deeper and deeper until she saw what that looked like a white little box— it was right beside her — small, clumsy but appropriate to hide the baby although.
And she quickly did so,too after she kissed the baby's forehead, put a locket down his neck and wrote a name on the cover of the box with her blood, that was falling from her deep wounds.
It read, "Xian Hu"
"Xian, may you live a good life!" These were the last words she said before she left the crying baby alone and again started to run.
But, for heaven's sake, an orphanage elder saw Xian and so she took him to the orphanage.
Many years passed by but the elder didn't told him that he had someone in his family, that he was not born in this orphanage, that he may have a good future ahead, perhaps because, she couldn't due to the bond of mother-son formed between the two.
Then, guess what?
Xian was raised in the orphanage until he was 14 years of age....
After that, he went to give an admission exam for one of the famous schools that taught about abilities and helped them to become 'Hunters', 'Infinite Phoenix Academy' with a little hope and every little money, the orphanage gave to him.
But, unfortunately, misfortune fell upon him....
On his way, two bullies beat him, taking all his money, and he was left penniless.
But, that didn't finish there, their eyes were fixed on the locket on his neck and wanted to take it too. But this time, he countered them, perhaps because his instinct told him to protect that locket by any means.
And he escaped from their grasps hardly....
Xian ran through the pavements as he hid the locket, that was around his neck, inside his sleeve, until he went inside a sidewalk.
But, misfortune again fell upon him as the escape wasn't so easy...
The two bullies were in front of him. They had tracked him down at last....
This was the moment, he realised that they were actually 'Hunters'.
And the next thing was too ruthless, they bullied him, poured acid over his bare skin, struck him with lightning strikes burning his body in the process.
The process continued, until they finally decided to kill him.
The only thing that came inside his mind before few seconds of his death was, "Will I die so pathetically? Will I never become a 'Hunter'?"

Xian Huopened his eyes only to find only darkness surrounding him. Multiple thoughts also rose up inside his mind as he stared at the darkness, "Aren't I supposed to be dead? What is this place? Why am I here?....." He didn't had the slightest idea of what was happening.
At that very moment, a voice resounded though unfamiliar, in the darkness, "Young lad, do you want to rule? Do you want to achieve your dreams, gain revenge, and become a Demi-God, standing at the top of the food chain? Do you? Do you want ?" The words echoed everywhere in the space.
Through out his life, Xian Hu was unfortunate, his every dreams stayed dreams, at his orphanage, everyone mocked him, everyone laughed at him, why?
The reason was simple, Xian Hu didn't ever, awakened an 'Ability', he was just as weak as a normal human.
After hearing, these mockeries, for years, he finally wanted to try his luck, he wanted to go the admission test, to see if he had an 'Ability' or not?
To see, if he could become a 'Hunter'.
But, before he could, he died in the most ruthless way possible.
He thought that perhaps God never intended to let him awaken an 'Ability'.
But, now, someone was actually asking him to become a 'Demi-God' himself.
It didn't matter who that person was, he only had one thing in mind, " Only a fool will say 'No'. I am the owner of my destiny and no one can change it!"
And, so Xian Hu took a long breathe, and answered as he smiled both inwardly and outside, "Yes, I want!...."
