Chapter 1: Prologue
By 2028 the world had collectively come to the same conclusion, the resources their world ran on were steadily becoming more and more scarce, and the world's countries started to look outward to provide for themselves. 6 years later in 2034 the inevitable became reality, and resource wars broke out across the world, and dozens of countries were set ablaze in the years to come. Eventually, a stalemate between the remaining superpowers occurred, as both sides could not finish the other off. Raids were a constant and most of the world was rendered inhospitable by the fighting.
Decades later in 2067, both sides were still locked in the brutal stalemate, however, during this year the brutal stalemate was broken by an unknown force. 90% of the world's population suddenly gained immense strength, at an equally immense cost. These people lost their minds and were destined to have their bodies waste away from the stress put on their bodies. A slaughter in both superpowers soon occurred, the Lost Mind humans slaughtered whoever they saw, normal humans and other Lost Mind beings alike.
By 2070 the Human population was decimated and the Lost Mind's bodies had failed them, unable to withstand their own strength, and were pushed to extinction. The remaining human population, which was less than 1% it was before the wars, did their best to survive as the world became one where only the strong survive.
