Chapter 2: Where is the Demon?
Ahsan woke up in the morning by toba's shouting. Toba was shouting in front of the entrance door. Ahsan peeked through the store room window and said: Man stop shouting, Im ok.
Toba was still shouting: Why didn't you pick up the phone? I was calling you for half an hour. I was so worried.
Ok.. ok... I just woke up. Just get inside. I got tons of things to tell you; Ahsan replied.
Toba: So you're telling me that , the ritual actually worked and you messed up? Where is the doll now? Man, take care of the furnitures first. It seems like there was a storm in your house last night. Was the demon that powerful?
Ahsan: How will i answer so many questions? The ritual worked but i can't find the doll. I don't know where it is now. My body is hurting like hell and where is that damn demon? How will i find it? I still need to make a wish.
Toba: Ok..ok.. Firstly... as i can see, you are ok which means you didn't lose in the game. I need to talk to bro to understand the actual situation. Take care of the house first. I'll talk to you after the school. Now i need to leave.
Ahsan thought it will be better to visit mom first. I must find a way to contact that damn demon and make my wish, no matter what it takes. It must cure mom. I'll need to skip the school today.
After an hour, Ahsan was at the hospital cabin, to see his mother but he was surprised to see the happy face of his grandparents. They were chatting happily.
Ahsan: Grandpa, is there any good news of mother?
Grandpa: Young man.. , a miracle happened last night. Your mother's body suddenly started to react with the medicine. Doctors said its a good symptom. If this continues, she will be cured within one or two years.
Grandma: God heard my prayer. I was constantly praying for last two months. See... god actually hears the believers.
Ahsan couldn't understand what to say. He was happy that his mother's condition was getting better. But something inside his mind was saying, there is more than this. He is missing something.
Ahsan was in the hospital when Toba called him. Toba's voice sounded different. He suddenly became very serious.
Toba: Ahsan.. i got a real bad news. I've talked to bro. The situation is not what you are thinking. It's dangerous. You must find the doll by tonight 12am. Otherwise it will be disastrous. Don't stay in the hospital tonight. The doll should be in your house and no matter what, find that god damn... doll. Bro said the portal is still open and that demon is still trapped in that doll. You must burn it tonight by 12am. Are you even listening to me? Why aren't you saying anything?
Ahsan: Wo.. wo.. calm down man. I'm in good mood, don't spoil it. The good thing is mom's condition is getting better. So i don't care about that damn demon doll anymore. If you still insist , i can try to find it.
Toba: Man.. you are not understanding the situation. That is a real demon and what you did was a real deal. You must burn it tonight and one more warning... never ever agree to what that damn demon says. Goodluck.
Ahsan: Hm? did he meant that the demon doll will also talk to me? Whatever happened yesterday night seems like a dream to me. Anyway, i need to go home and find that doll.
Grandma: Ahsan, don't go home before having your dinner. Stay with us old bones for a while.
Ahsan replied with a smile: Sure grandma.
Ahsan reached home at 11:30pm. Though it was a bit late to find the doll, Ahsan still had a lingering fear, somewhere in his mind. His subconscious mind was warning him about the doll. Strangely he tried his best to find the doll but he couldn't find it anywhere. He searched each and every corner of the house but that damn doll was nowhere. Ahsan asked himself where did the doll go? Anyway, I better have a shower first then will call toba about the doll. It was already 12am.
Ahsan was having shower when the light suddenly became dim and then the light got burst. He got out of the washroom in a hurry only to find that all the lights of the house are gone. It was total darkness in his house. He light the candle but it felt like somebody is watching him from very close. He can feel the presence of something sinister but he couldn't see it. A strange surge of fear was gradually growing in his mind. This is bad, he thought; "I need to get out of the house now". He tried his best to move but he couldn't muster enough courage to move. He felt that his legs getting heavy.
" Well Well Well... don't be afraid. I've already granted your wish, Didn't i? Your mom is getting better. Don't worry she wont die. "
The words felt like whisper to Ahsan. He mustered all his courage and said " Thank you" I've won and you have already granted my wish. So the deal is over. Please leave me alone now.
The sinister voice whispered again: Really? Who said you won? It was a draw. I fulfilled your wish and now you should give me your soul"
Ahsan: What soul? it was mentioned nowhere.
The sinister voice: You said you will allow me to have your body as host if you lose. It was in the summoning contract. Now you can't backoff.
Ahsan remembered toba's advice and said a bit loudly: You didn't win, so why will i give my body?
The sinister voice: Boy, don't make me angry. If i can cure your mother , i can also kill her. I can even kill you now. Don't test the limit of my patience. Sign this contract with your blood.
It became hard for Ahsan to decide as now his mother also got involved. But nobody wants to die. So Ahsan was thinking of ways to get rid of this disaster. One thing was clear. The demon didn't win in the game and it cant forcefully take his body. Moreover, It can easily take his body if it really wanted to do so. Instead it's asking him to sign a contract. Which means it wants something else. He asked: what's written in this contract?
The sinister voice: Why do you want to know? It's a simple contract that says You are giving me your body and soul.
Ahsan: Why do you need my body and soul?
The sinister voice: I'll live in this world and eat peoples soul. We can't leave demon world unless we are summoned. So now that i'm here, i'm not going back.
Ahsan: Who asked you to leave this world? You can stay in this world as long as you want. I haven't burned the doll yet. Why don't you write the contact a bit different way?
