Chapter 14: Venturing in the dark forest again
The next morning Long Chen rendezvoused with his 3 companions at the city gate.
Xiao Bai wanted to join them as well, but Long Chen felt it would be too dangerous for her to join them as he hasn't undone her seal yet.
Fang Qian was pleasantly surprised to see a bunch of guards following Long Chen, but his surprise turned into elation.
"Boss did you change your mind and decided to bring some help along" Asked Fang Qian while beaming a wretched smile.
"Fatty, don't look so wretched, the only reason I borrowed them from my father is so that they can collect whatever demonic beasts we kill. Also just to remind you, uncle Fang told me that if you don't contribute in our hunt he will skin you alive"
"Pfft" Both the girls burst out laughing, taking pleasure in someone else's misfortune.
Their group headed towards the Dark forest.
In the continent of Skydawn, the dark forest stretches out to the entirety of the continent and is designated into 2 sections inner and outer. In the outer section, you would find mostly first-order demonic beasts, and very rarely a 2nd order demonic beasts.
The inner section is where most of the 2nd order demonic beasts live, and you could even find some 3rd order demonic beasts live.
The Human part of the Continent which Consists of Large Sects, Clans, and Empires has a treaty with the demonic beasts of the inner section. That they will use the outer section to train juniors of both sides, and no one can interfere there i.e the Soul transformation martial artists or the 3rd order demonic beast.
A lot of cultivators come here to temper themselves and earn a living.
All in all, its size is around a 500 million km
Entering the forest Long Chen and his gang were greeted with the sight of swamp and damp forest.
"Let's go around "
"This is really too dirty" Fang Qingmei's face is wrapped in displeasure. It was her first time coming into such a dirty area
"My dear big sister this is a swamp area you have to be prepared for this"

Long Chen was aware this was their first time hunting, so he wanted to make it a little easier for them.
Long Chen took out his sabers and quickly dashed using demon fairy steps taking the pack of wolves by surprise.
"Flying saber" Long Chen shouted in a low voice.

2 wolves were instantly beheaded, at the same time the wolves were thrown into disarray, before one of the wolves tried tacking him from behind.
Long Chen made a quick rotation on one foot, dodging the wolf by a hair's breadth at the same time he elbowed the wolf on its eye.
Temporarily blinding it before chopping its head off.
2 wolves who were entangled with Bei Youer and Fang Qian, left their respective fights and pounced at Long Chen.
Long Chen released his killing intent temporarily stopping the wolves before he used demon fairy steps to get behind them and behead them.
Taking care of his opponents Long Chen turned his attention to his companions.
Bei Youer was entangled with one wolf, she had a lot of scratches over her body, but the wolf also had some deep cuts.
Bei Youer felt hesitant in killing it, although she acts like a female tyrant sometimes, deep down she was a spoiled lady, if it had not been for her tough body she may have had serious injures.
Long Chen dashed towards her and quickly killed the wolf, before taking her into a light embrace and gently stroking her hair.
"It's alright you will get used to it"

Fang Qian and Qingmei were also done with their opponents with killing one and two wolves respectively.

It was just they were constantly consuming healing pills.
'These pills are trash I need to buy a furnace and produce some great pills'
Walking along the way almost all the guards were gone except 2, as they had collected a lot of loot along the way.
'Hmm, there are some people on that side, but why aren't they moving around are they guarding something' Long Chen's instincts told him they were not sitting here to loot, but rather to block.
"Wait there are people in that direction, and they are just standing there blocking the way should we check it out? We might find something interesting" said Long Chen with a mysterious smile.
Hearing this, all of them including the guards were excited

Everyone paled for a second but determination shone in their eyes after that. After all, killing is the most common thing in the cultivation world.
They slowly made their way towards the group.

Their conversation was interrupted by Long Chen and his group.

The leader of the group was dumbstruck, seeing Long Chen this boy who looked to be 16 seemed like a devil, as he killed without blinking like he was cutting grass.
His knees almost wobbled to the ground.
"You, " said Long Chen pointing at the leader
"What are you guys guarding here for tell me? "
"Just kill me dammit we were here to plunder nothing more nothing less"
The bandit was definitely scared of Long Chen, but if he spilled the beans to a little kid then he would probably have lived a dog's life.
Seeing him unwilling to talk Long Chen gather qi in his hands
'Asura claw' and hit right at his mouth effectively breaking all his teeth and then ripping them off.

"Ahhhhh Stopppp " The Bandit's body limped down and holding his mouth tears started forming in his eyes.
Then he cut off the tendons of his arms and legs.

"Argh" The bandit released an animalistic roar from the pain.
"Now tell me, you can't commit suicide by biting your tongue, should I mash your arms and legs slowly and steadily"
Saying this Long Chen showed the wisp of an evil smile
Before Shoving his saber straight through the bandit's palm almost butchering his entire bone.
"STOP STOP I will tell you" The bandit started begging for mercy.
Behind him, his 3 friends stood transfixed, they had their faces lose all color.
And even the 2 guards who have been through many battles fell a chill in their spine.

Looking at the situation, Long Chen felt it was highly likely for a treasure to appear.
But Long Chen could fight evenly with a 5th or 6th layer qi condensation martial artist, but above that he is gonna get pummeled. Not to mention there is a half-step essence gathering monster holding the fort.
"Brat you sure are ruthless enough for your age"
