Chapter 1: Chapter One.
It was a beautiful saturday morning, i sat on my couch beside the window staring at the sky lost in my thoughts when i heard someone shouting my name, before i could answer she walked into my room.
"I've been calling your name ko a watta (what are you doing) lost in your stupid thoughts ba" Adda Amnah yelled at me.
"Wadu muyal Adda minanai on (sorry Adda i didn't hear you) i pleaded.
"Toh mi nani (ok i've heard) Abba said we should get ready we all are going out, you know he will be traveling out on tuesday" Adda announced as she walked out of the room.
I rushed to the rest room, took a quick shower and come out. I stood for almost five minutes staring at my closet thinking of what to wear, finally i grabbed my palazo and top with a veil i used and wrapped my hair. Just in time i heard Mami calling my name "a timminai na Tasneem(are you not done Tasneem)"
"Mami am done"i said while rushing down the stairs, everyone was ready and off we went.
Minal and Manal my younger siblings, the twins of the house "lol" whispered in my ears "you look beautiful but we look more beautiful than you"they laughed.
We all walked to the car, it was a black BMW, Abba is driving cause he normally drives whenever we are having a family outing, no drivers.
"Abba where are we going"Manal asked with her cute face.
We are visiting Aunty Rukayya, ko ayida Manal (or don't you want)"
"Yay" both Minal and Manal shouted.
We all love visiting Aunty Rukayya, she's soo nice and she also have kids our age, Aunty Rukayya is Abba's younger sister and also his only sister.
"Abba we are getting Ice-cream from cold stone to min acci ha Aunty Rukayya pleeeeeaaaassseee (after visiting Aunty Rukayya)" both Minal and Manal begged Abba.
They are Abba's favorite so he says yes to almost everything they say.
"Ok no problem, Amnah and Tasneem don't you want us to go somewhere" Abba asked
"Lets go shopping Abba" i said cause i soo love shopping and everyone knows.
"Abba minkam watch miyidi (i want a watch) so when we go for shopping will get one there" Adda said in her innocent voice.
We arrived at Aunty Rukayya's house in jabi, Abba gave a honk for the gateman to open up the gate just then we all dropped and there was Aunty Rukayya by the entrance door, Minal and Manal ran to her and gave her a hug.
Jabbamamon (welcome), my twins are all grown up tabarkallah. Tasneem, Amnah jabbamamon (welcome) Aunty Safiya, Hamma yotte (come in)" Aunty Rukayya welcomed us with a smile on her face.
"Safna, Batul, Yumeen come down ga su Tasneem" Aunty Rukayya informed her kids.
"Jabbamamon (welcome)"they all rushed down and hugged us then greeted Abba and Mami which they call Uncle Auwal and Aunty Safiya.
They were all happy to see us.
Before the maid could bring us water Yumeen left with Minal and Manal to play.
Adda Safna and Adda Amnah are mates while me and Batul are, infact she's my bestfriend.
I have lots of gist for you, lets go upstairs" Batul wispered to me.
So we left to her room
"Onfuddan ko (you guys will start ba) we heard Adda Safna saying.
We ignored and rushed upstairs.
Batul's room is beautiful just like mine purple and black, we had the same taste in almost everything. We attend the same school, same class sef.
"Thank God you came, i was about asking Ammi if she can drop us or the driver" Batul let a sign of relief as she shut the door.
"Haba anbo dume fe'i (what happened) oya now that am here start gisting me, wait lemmi guess is about Nurain ba" i said as i winked at her making her blush.
"Yes, yes you got me" Batul said in a sheepish manner.
"Nurain is leaving Nigeria after our final exams, he said his parents won't let him study here in Nigeria" Batul apprised me with tears in her eyes.
"What!!! Darm it that's in a month time. But don't worry Nurain is all yours baby, wipe the tears i assure you no-one will take your place" i calmed Batul down for her not to freak out.
Amnah's POV
We were sitted in the parlor with Mami, Abba, Safna and Aunty Rukayya when Aunty Rukayya brought up the marriage talk.
Yes its time cause am done with university, about to start my masters.
"So Amnah what are you up to, da Safna kam volwi (Safna has hers already) and you know is better we do it all together right" Aunty Ruky asked me making everyone look at me.
"Yes Amnah your Aunty is right, what are you up to" Abba concluded.
I sheepishly said"eh Abba, Zayyad said he informed his parents, daman mi yacci Mami kenya (i told Mami yesterday)".
"Yes she told me, i was about telling you, gammi tammai en vulwan hala man jotta (because i didn't think we will discuss it now)" Mami apprised Abba.
"Toh alhamdulillah, both of you should inform them we are ready amma se to mi warti (but thats when am back) maybe next week will be ok" Abba said with joy.
"Call Tasneem and the twins en dilla (lets go) Rukayya mun dade miki ai (we've stayed long)" Abba ordered me as he stood from his chair.
"Tasneem, Minal, Manal, Abba ve en dilla (Abba said lets get going)" i called out there names from the dinning area.
"Toh" Came out the twins running to Abba.
Tasneem POV
"Batul trust me all is well, let me get going kafun Abba hola (before Abba shouts), we will continue on phone" I said while wrapping my veil and heading down.
"Yumeen ko zaki bisu ne (Yumeen will you go with them)" Aunty Ruky asked Yumeen smiling.
"Eh Ammi" she happily said.
"See you wai eh, don't worry will take you there next tomorrow ok" Adda Safna laughed at Yumeen and consoled her so she won't cry.
We all laughed and walked to the car, Abba drove out as we all waved.
"Who wants ice-cream" Abba said laughing.
"Me, me"we all shouted.
And we left for ice-cream after that we went for shopping as promised.
