Chapter 6: Food source

[Karl's POV]

With the Inn completely reconstructed, what's left is the rest of the town's building. But for now, I will prioritize the hectares of unused farm land and after that I will focus on the Lotus Town.

Due to the low supply of food, I will have to use the cheat mod that I acquire which enables me to magically summon supplies out of nowhere. Naturally, it will be automatically appear in the barn all over the Pearson's territory, even if it's far from the human settlement.

Before that, I flew towards the farms. Since it's already at the middle of the night, my vision is quite poor due to the lack of lightings. However, it didn't stop me from inspecting the barren lands that used to be the source of prosperous harvest.

When I arrive, I notice what's left of the farm is nothing more than a dried up land that cannot even be salvage. I look at it in disbelief, then I laugh from the ridiculous sight that beholds me.

"What kind of sorcery did they use to make it this worst?"

Truly, is this what prosperous ruling mean?

Since the land for cattle and farm are not so far from each other, it made me able to see the two's condition which is far from good. The pastures have no livestocks, which when I used to play it, it has deer, beef cow, bufallo, chicken, pig, sheeps, etc. I can even be sure that the livestock of each cattle won't go down at its minimum number of around 50. But no way in hell can I see anything from it except for the rundown fenced and shelter for the herdsmen.

I won't even try to explain the current condition of the farm. The fact that it's already dried up and cannot be used already tells me that it was poorly managed. And from its appearance alone, anyone can tell its not properly maintained!

Sigh...

It's really a good thing that I acquire such power, if not, I don't even know how much time it will take me to simply assess these infrastructure.

Now, to fix this land. Since it's already dead, I won't be able to reuse it as food supply, unless I put a massive fertilizer in it and make water flows to it, of course.

"System"

Right after, a HUD menu appear in both of my eyesight. There I chose the image of axe which says [Edit/Terraform], upon clicking, around ten menu appear. I head for the far east and click the [Terraform] and gave me an option of which I would like to edit.

In Pearson territory, the Edelweiss is the main source of the three town's food supply. And that is certainly the case when you look at this almost 6 hectares of farm, 5 hectares of pastures, and 2500 square meters of greenhouse farm(around ten indoor farm). I have yet to see the 10 fish shelter that supplies marine food for us but if that building became functional, the food sources will certainly explode.

When I click the [Grassland Terraform], I immediately ascend to the sky to see the full view of the farm and cattles. Since it's night, I can't fully see, but thanks to the outline provided by the system, I was able to acquire the full size of the farm.

I grab the imaginary cursor of the system using my index finger, and dragged it from the northwestern edge of my vision towards the southeastern farmland. Then, when I was finished, a menu appear in front of me.

[World Edit: Confirm Terraform? Y/N]

I click yes, then gradually, the farmland shake which I can clearly see due to the outline. And that magical dust they called appear which slowly changes the dried up appearance of the land. Since it's almost 6 hectares of land editing, it will surely take time before it's finished.

Considering that it has yet to finish terraforming, I decided to do some multitasking. Instead of watching it change like a miracle, I head for the [Tool Menu] and directed myself to the [Debug] menu that reveal itself.

Once I clicked it, another window appear.

There, numerous images of what appears to be the supplies I can magically summon are lined up in an orderly manner, from the most important to the least needed supply.

In the first row is the food, woods, clothes, seeds, livestocks, and herbs. Since I need to add food resources for my town, I clicked the the food icon.

When I do so, nothing seems to appear. So I headed for the [Tool Menu] once again and click the [Status] menu which gave me a good detailed information of the current status of the town.

In the window's upper right is the name of the territory [Pearson], in its side is the current weather, climate, and temperature. Below them are the tables of supplies that are impressingly low in stocks. Almost all of them barely leave two digits, excluding the food since I just added a number of it.

And that's a critical issue. Just how the hell did these towns function with this kind of status? [Happiness: 36%] perhaps it only grew due to my appearance in this world. [Health: 11%] Oh, come one. How the hell did they even manage to survive more than 25 years with this kind of hellish situation.

Since it has come to this, I'd rather give haste to providing them food and other supplies needed to make them a functioning towns again. Therefore, I return to the [Tool Menu] [Debug] and click the food continuously until I saw that the number of food gradually increase to five digits.

But I am yet to feel satisfied from it, since I've heard that this territory has 11,500, this 5 digit food won't be able to last for more than a week, especially when they are so hungry, there might cause a stampede. So, I clicked it continously once more. Perhaps my index finger could get numb by simply doing this.

I also clicked other supplies, such as woods, fuels, coals, minerals, tools, clothes. I have yet to click the livestock since the terraforming is yet to finished.

Oh wait, is it possible to edit the pastures while the farms are in the process of terraforming? Let's find out.

Since the foods are already at 6 digits, I head for the [Edit/Terraforming] tool kit and head for the [Remove Infrastructure], I then grab the outline from the northwest edge of my vision and drag it towards the southeast. When I let go, the reconstruction icon appears immediately.

It seems the builders and labors will be doing this job, meaning I will have to wait for them to finish before adding the cattle once more.
