Chapter 10: walking dead 10
After finishing the fight I went up the building while keeping my guard up. Hopefully I won't encounter any more zombies, and with every floor I passed I noticed that the fire escape exits were close so it is probably the reason the stairs are empty.
I reached the roof soon after and found that the door was forced open. I peeked through the gap and saw a bunch of bodies spread on the ground while flies were buzzing around them. The worms; a whole lot of them and also two zombies.
These two zombies were a little fresh so I could only assume that they were from the group that came with me into this world or that some people survived in the hotel.
The situation now was tricky; these two are probably still nimble and fast enough to give me problems even though I am confident in my abilities. The next thing to do is think of a way to kill them safely and for that I had a plan but I needed to lure them somehow first.
My plans consisted of drawing the attention of these two towards the stairs and use the environment to my advantage. The zombies are very weak when it comes to terrain changes so if I draw them into the stairs they may either come running at me and fall down the stairs or jump at me when they reach the stairs.
The variations are very slim and these two options are the most probable to happen, so I went towards the door and kicked it open. The noise attracted their attention and as soon as they saw me they came running at me.
Taking advantage of the head-start I had, I reached the bottom of the first flight of stairs and turned to see two zombies cascading down.
*bam*
*bam*
*crack*
*bam*
*crack*
I could hear the sound of bones breaking as they fell down the stairs and when they reached my foot, I quickly jumped at them cleaved their heads open and then checked the watch to see my head count. I hadn't really paid attention to how many points I gained during the whole fighting.
"Zombie killed! Rewarded 1 point."
"Zombie killed! Rewarded 1 point."
"Zombie killed! Rewarded 1 point."

.
.
(there was a bunch of these messages in the log section of the watch.)
"Total points: 31."
'Goddamn It! Even with all the efforts I spent this is all I got. Earning points is really difficult. I am really envious of the MCs in the novel and fanfics, they get their point so easily. I really feel depressed now that I think about it so I might as well not think about it.'
I climbed the stairs feeling depressed over my situation, reached the roof and moved to the edge while avoiding the maggot filled corpses on the ground. Greeting me is a scene straight from an apocalyptic movie. {Lol!! I am standing in one}
The scene only served to bring my mood further down. I could only smile ironically while sitting on the edge of the roof thinking about my previous life. I took out a candy I found randomly, undid the wrapping and put it in my mouth. I kept taking in the scene while smiling accompanied by the buzzing of flies and the fast wind which greeted me across the vast sky.
