Chapter 6: Money Making

My favorite: Undecided, but some contenders are: Silly Alchemist, The Card Apprentice (earlier card apprentice), Magic Industrial Empire*

In most books with money making, it's a huge drive, but only at the beginning. Sometimes, especially with second chance books, poor to rich happens fast. I usually like it in the beginnings, when the main character is weak, they have to use their brains to make money. Later money making methods (through looting/base defense/sudden windfalls) does not feel nearly as good to a reader. I like how in Lord of the Mysteries he actually has to budget and plan for monetary resources for his advancements.

This is a hard one topic to pick for. I don't really see it done perfectly. Love it, but like oftentimes it's looting or chance encounters.

I like luck/appraisal, but I'd prefer something where you grow sustainable income through industry.

CEO books make it too easy. Past knowledge feels cheap, but I do enjoy it. I like establishing a brand, but that's too simplified often too..

A big disappointment here was God of Money. The MC has future knowledge, tons of money, but he's too interested in staking it all on cryptocurrency, etc. And even with past knowledge, having your fingers in over five different industries would leave you with negative hours in the day to interact with actual people.

If I missed something with good money making, I'd be surprised, but if you feel I should consider a novel I left out, please leave a comment. I'll try it out and update this accordingly.
