Chapter 6: Paraeia (5)
"Virya! Open the door, quickly!" Ava shouts to Virya while preparing her attack stance for fighting the Skias. Then Virya goes to the white door, raises her hand, and performs some gestures while chanting a strange mantra.
"Aquila, shield them. Eon, you take a left, and Kai, take a right!"
Aquila had his grimoire opened. We ran and gathered at Virya, the white door, and then a blue shield appeared around us like a dome.
Meanwhile, Eon gave off a yellowish aura; then, his amber eyes started glowing. Then, the light green scale on his neck becomes more vividly seen, and a pair of dragon wings appear on his back. He flew and charged at the Skias with his dagger, swiftly executing them.
Kai smiles confidently and slams his fist to the floor. Suddenly a wall of fire emerged and blocked the Skias. But the wall can't prevent that much Skia from crossing, so he beats them with his flaming fist. Seeing Kai in action, Remi in the back seems to wonder, can he be like him?
"Eva, prepare your force of nature!"
Eva nodded, then replied, "Lend me your flaming life energy, your flowing stream of memories, and the ethereal breeze of heavens. Bloom, and enlighten everything which stands in the path of light!"
She throws a couple of seeds, and it starts to absorb the three elements she mentioned.
Flaming life energy, a fire, provided by Kairen. Fire is essentially a form of pure energy, circulating. It gives enough energy for the seed to grow.
A flowing stream of memories, water, provided by Aquila. Water carries nutrients, the memories of every life, caused by flowing endlessly through every being. It gives enough food for the seed to survive.
The ethereal breeze of heavens, air, provided by Eon. The last piece of life to begin. The seeds will breathe and grow into a splendid tree that can soar up into the heavens.
Eva provides the earth, the basic foundation for the seed to grow.
Then the seeds cultivate. It's Eva's power to speed up plants' growth, but the tree can only endure for a couple of minutes since it lacks soil.
Anyway, for that couple of minutes, the tree that Eva grew gave a tremendous amount of buff and regeneration power.
Rejuvenation.
While the others attack the horde of Skia, Ava strikes Uranis with her sword. However, he blocks her direct strike with his bare hand, showing his lunatic smile. The black suit he wears is hard enough to stop her sword; it will be more precise to call it armor.
Ava takes a step back, still in her attack stance, while Uranis casually stretches his limbs.
"Ahahahaha!" he laughs menacingly. "You've gotten weak, haven't you? You cannot even scratch my body! Does this place make you weak?"
The creeping shadow in his body gets bigger and bigger and eventually devours Uranis body.
"That's too bad. Because in this realm," He said with a cocky tone.
Suddenly he disappears and emerges as a shadowy figure from Ava's back.
"I'm the strongest."
Uranis materialize into a form that Ava knew very best. It's her best friend.
"You really scum." Ava curses at him.
A black spear appears in Uranis's hand because her best friend was a spear bearer. A swordsman finds it hard to approach the spear bearer because of the distance between them. But it will be easy to counter when the swordsman has minimized the space if the spear bearer doesn't have a high proficiency.
But her friend is different. For over one year, Ava has been having trouble beating her. Until one time, she finally can beat her.
For now, she is the worst match for Ava. Fortunately, Ava has tricks on her sleeve.
Uranus thrusts and slashes, with the same technique that her friend use. Ava parries again and again, without a chance for a counterattack. If this keeps going on, Ava will lose.
"How was it? This is your weakness, right? I should've known this since the beginning! So I can use this to fight you back then."
For a moment, the series of attacks stopped. Ava looks tired, and his attacks scratch some of her skin. Some blood was noticeable on it.
"You are wrong." Ava readies her attack stance again. "She's not my weakness. Instead, she helps me grow stronger and stronger."
This time, the stance is different. First, Ava held her sword in front of her face, and then her eyes were glowing.
[Laplace's Realm]
A shock wave vibrates through Paraeia and makes a unique realm only for her.
Laplace's Realm is a realm that has one purpose. It contains the power of Laplace's Demon. Now, Ava has become the "Demon", who knows almost precise location and momentum of every atom in the universe. In short, no one can escape from her reach.
However, this skill only lasts until the user burns out. The skill uses an enormous amount of brain energy, because it forces the user to open all his senses to overcapacity. It's a destructive skill for the target and the user.
Ava, who's already wasted most of her energy, will soon collapse because of this skill. Although she knows the risk, she doesn't care at all.
After all, she's ready to die any moment. This skill will buy some time until the door opens and the Earthians will safely arrive on her world. She thought.
In an instant, she knew all the positions and predicted Uranis's movement. The amount of information she got insanely overwhelmed her. But she endured it.
Ava strikes to the left, and clashes to Uranis's spear. Then, she closed her distance to him, and the counterattack began.

It happened all at once. I couldn't grasp the whole situation. Ava's crew really fight in harmonious melody, with each supporting each other.
I was kinda worried about Ava; she was severely fatigue before until she must be held by Kai. The battle at first looks one sided, because Ava is being pushed repeatedly.
Then it changes. Ava's movement became faster and faster. I hope she can win against that boy.
But something's wrong. I don't know what is it but I couldn't shake this feeling of uneasiness.
After that, the white door behind us glowed. It seems Virya's done "opening" the door after long chanting.
From the white door, a powerful force comes and tries to suck us out. It feels like a weak black hole but in white color.
"Ava! The door is open now!" Virya yells to her, while protects us from Skias with her whip.
*Thump*
Ava collapsed, and her sword was nowhere to be found. Her trembling body tries to stand, but she can't. Finally, Uranis come and is seen holding her sword.
"You know, I was disappointed." He points Ava's sword at her while mocking her endlessly. "You should've surrendered while still can, and maybe I'll even spare your teammates! But no. You choose to fight me, even when it's impossible to beat me. HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"V-virya…. Hur-ry…. E-escort them to Oloras, our world…. Cough!" Ava coughs blood. "I'll…. Keep…. Him…. here…. ARGH!"
Uranis kick her.
I couldn't believe what was I just saw. Her condition is so severe, and it's like her life force has been drained out. It was horrifying.
Why why why why why?
My thoughts are crazy right now.
Why she can't win? Why did she choose us? Why she kidnapped us? Why does she keep trying?
We are weak. I am weak. Potential? Don't joke with me! What can you expect from me? I can't do anything! When you were trying to protect someone, I was just standing there waiting for a miracle to come.
My tears flowed.
Hearing Ava's words, Virya tells the Earthians to go inside the gate. One by one, they entered the gate until I was the only one left. I just can't move.
"Krisan! What are you doing? Go now!" Virya yells at me while fending off Skias.
I look at my surroundings. Ava's crew is at a disadvantage right now. One by one, they got overwhelmed by the number of Skias. They were in danger. There's no way they can win now.
Suddenly, Ava stands. A light particle comes out from her skin, and her crewmates look at her in shock.
"Ava! You don't-" one of them speaks.
"It's okay. You all believe me, right? This way, their safety is guaranteed." Ava replied.
What is happening?
"Virya! Tell me. Why is Ava's skin glowing like that?" I asked Virya.
"It can't be…. She will disperse herself!"
"What?"
"It's a technique when you break down all of your body and soul into small pieces and let go massive energy! But in here, she won't return…."
"What do you mean? Stop her! YOU PROMISED YOU WILL TRAIN US!"
"I- I can't. We already prepared for this… It just…. We don't expect this is the time to do it…."
What is this nonsense? You promised!
I watch Ava in desperation. You bring us here, but then you leave us? We know nothing! How can we survive in that world?
"Krisan…" Ava replied. "It's okay…. By this, I have fulfilled my purpose."
"No! Please, don't leave us!"
What is my feeling towards all of this?
"I won't just disappear with this. Our soul is the same; as long there's one of us, I will survive."
Do I hate her because of her action in the kidnapping? No.
Do I feel glad because I was away from the earth? Not really.
I don't have anyone that I could call "family". But my condition is not miserable at all.
I can live in comfort back then on the earth, but it was a monotonous life.
I live in the moment, and the circle of eternity keeps going.
I never had a dream before. Because I've never thought about it.
But now, I see my other self fights repeatedly, to reach her dream, to fulfill her purpose.
It's a dynamic life full of adventures and stories.
Avaire Kyrstiva taught me what it means to have a dream.
And I don't want her to leave.
Ava turns away and shows me her beautiful smile. Again, the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. A smile full of hope.
Then, the light particles intensify and burn away the Skias.
At first, Uranis didn't affected with the light particles. Maybe it's because he has a flesh. But then, when the light particles fill up the Paraeia, he is screaming in agony.
Blinded by the light, I take a step back.
And then, a luminous blast threw me into the door, drive me unconscious.
