"Who are you?" Avyanna questioned .
"My name is Jonathan Hicks."The man leading them across the village said without turning back.
"Where are you taking us"?
"I overheard your table talking about the beast and figured that you were adventurers searching for an adventure."The man replied.
"What happens to the so called 'adventurers ' in this village?" Conrad asked.
The man smiled mysteriously but didn't answer.
" The man I'm taking you to is Richard Hills . He is well respected as the head of the village. None dares question that fact,not after he drove the beast away from the village a year ago."The man answered their previous question.
Kyra was deep in thought. 'This town' She thought, 'Doesn't feel right at all'.

The man led them to an old building where an old man was manning the front desk.
"Hills, I've got you new ones ". He said and took off.
Avyanna and the rest surveyed the shady looking building .
Obi took a time out.
"Wait, So a mysterious guy dropped us off at a sketchy building . Arent we supposed to be scared to death?" Obi suggested.

THEY were so dead.
"So you're the new adventurers, are you?"
Obi called another time out. Everyone groaned.
"I'm sorry guys, but isn't it suppose to be, 'So you're the blah, blah, blah, ARENT you?, not ARE you?"
"So you're the new adventurers, aren't you?"
"Who's asking " Levi retorted.
The old man laughed showing his gunsmith few teeth remaining. "You're a feisty one .I supposed you've heard all about our little village and its monsters.
" Tall tales." Levi emphasized.
The old man stared at him from the other side of the desk and then spoke." No . they arent.My son disappeared last year during the full moon. Not only him. Others too. Mary Ann , the black smith daughter have also vanished.Many brave people have decided to face the monster and we'll like you to aid us."
Levi seemed hesitant at first.It seemed too easy.Well, that was until the next flood of words came running next.
" The job is worth, 300 ducats .."
Avyanna eyes shimmered green as she hit her hand on the desk.
" We'll take it!!!!

As they left the building, Conrad and Kyra decided to go their seperate ways.
" Hold up .Your not coming with us?"Avyanna said.
"Nah. It was nice meeting you though" Conrad and Kyra bowed.
Avyanna slipped up behind them and placed her arms over their shoulders
"Wait a second. We have to see this through.Think about the money!!!!"
"And at the end you'll get your share and can go any where you like" She whispered quietly into Kyra' s ears.
"Why not? Its only a few days." Conrad addded.
Kyra was defeated .But this gave her a chance to allay her suspicions.
"Hurray, we're aTEAM!!.I think the old man said we should head south to the forest."
As the four walked toward the forest.Avyanna pulled Levi back.
" What did that old man say about those other adventurers? I mean what happened to them?"
Levi stared ahead." He said nothing."
She understood.
None of them came back alive to tell the story.
"Guys..." Su ling drew her words.
"We are going to be alright, right?"
