Chapter 116: SCARLET'S CHILDHOOD(PART 2)
People were walking on the streets of Konoha in the early morning, each going to their respective work. A fat lady was selling fruits on the streets, she looked alert and was quite intimidating which was unusual for a shopkeeper. She kept looking sideways as if she was searching for something.
Two pairs of eyes were secretly watching the fat lady from the rooftop of the house on the opposite side of the street. Naruto looked at Scarlet and said, "Nee-chan today's mission will be difficult, the fat lady is very alert today".
Scarlet smiles a cunningly as she says "Don't worry I have thought of a plan".
Naruto gulps as he thought 'Nee-chan is going to do something evil again'.
Scarlet then brings out a fishing rod and looks towards the street. Naruto says "Nee-chan the fat lady is alert, you will be caught easily if you try to steal the fruits using the fishing rod".
Scarlet smiles at naruto as she says "It's ok Naru chan, Nee-chan doesn't fail. Just wait and watch".
Scarlet kept looking at the people and then smiled suddenly. Her sharp vision was concentrated on a lazy rich man who was walking on the street. His clothes were of high quality and he seems to be sleepy as if he just got out of bed. Scarlet's eyes fell onto the purse which was on his back pocket. The smile on her face became wider.
Scarlet turned towards Naruto and said, "Now listen Naru chan, when I give you the signal throw a stone on the buckets ahead". Looking at the buckets which have been layered like a mountain Naruto smiled saying "This will be fun".
Scarlet then held the fishing rod tightly and moved it downwards, the hook slowly moved towards the lazy man and got hooked to his purse. The lazy man felt something wrong. Scarlet then shouted, "Naru chan now!".
Naruto threw the stone on the buckets which then continuously fell in the streets. The lazy man's attention got diverted because the sound of the buckets falling. Scarlet swiftly pulled the purse out. Scarlet and Naruto then giggled on top of the terrace and gave a hi-five to each other. Naruto then said, "Nee-chan we now have money so can't we eat ramen".
Scarlet replied, "Naru chan we will ramen for the afternoon before that I will steal her fruits".
Scarlet then took the money out of the purse and kept half of them, the took the remaining half of the money and threw them into the air. Naruto shouted, "What are you doing Nee-chan?".
Scarlet replied, "Just wait and watch Naru chan". The people on the streets watched the money fall and hurriedly rushed towards it. Even the fat lady rushed to collect some money. Scarlet then put out her fishing rod and started stealing fruits. She stole some grapes, pomegranate, and papaya when the fat lady finally noticed that something was wrong.
The fat lady then noticed Scarlet and shouted "It's both of you again". The surrounding people also noticed them and started talking bad about Naruto and Scarlet. Scarlet's eyes dimmed a little but she soon recollected herself and said "Let's go Naru chan". Naruto also recollected himself and started to run towards the next building. Both of them started to jump from one building to another with the fruits in their hands and the people were chasing them from the streets.
Naruto and Scarlet were gasping as they finally got rid of the crowd. Just as they were going to give each other a hi-five a figure in black wearing a Vulture mask and having blue hair held their hands and said "Don't you guys get tired of it".
Scarlet frowns and asks "And who the hell are you?".
"None of your business" replies the lady wearing the Vulture mask. She then says "You are going to meet Hokage sama now" as she glares at her.
Scarlet instinctively felt that the person before was strong, she frowns and asks "Hmn what does that old man need me for?".
The lady holds both of them tightly and jumps in the direction of the Hokage's office disregarding the endless chattering of Naruto and Scarlet.
