Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Home

Rowan’s parents hugged her tightly as they said their goodbyes in front of the car. Her mother had tears in her eyes, but her father was talking excitedly to Fyn about the shifters and how they could get more land to allow the packs to stretch out a bit more.

Fyn was more than grateful for Wayne Robertson and his desire to help the shifter community. They had even started talking about setting up another preserve in Montana that would allow Fyn and his people to build a decent town.

What Fyn didn’t know, and Rowan didn't want to tell him until it was a done deal, was that her father had bought the land with the compound on it. This time next year, they were going to bring a bulldozer in and destroy the entire place so no one would ever be able to use it again.

Rowan wanted to wait until all the paperwork was together and they could tell the pack as one.

“I know you must go back and begin setting up your place. But I wish you didn’t have to leave so soon!” Rita said, sniffling.
