Sofia didn't realize until she took a look at the intruder that the scent that filled this room didn't belong to the Alpha. This was not Cane's scent, but another warrior's that she had never seen before.

"Who are you?! What are you doing here?!" Sofia snapped at this red-haired guy. Her eyes widened in fear realizing that a man came into her bedroom in the middle of the night.

She had been a mistress for years, thus she knew this kind of plot. There were so many mistresses who fell into this kind of trap and lost their lives the next morning once their man found out about it. As mistresses, they were replaceable. Most of the time, their men wouldn't listen to their desperate attempts to explain themselves, that they were schemed against, because even before they could open their mouths, they would lose their heads.
