Chapter 2: One of the ten god level mages
After a few moments, the moment the lights slowly died down, but what was placed in front of him amazed him.
It was a scroll, but not an ordinary scroll. It was plain yet gave off a majestic feeling.
He slowly moved his hand over the scroll and picked it up.
That when another flash of light illuminated the cave but didn't seem to be affecting Aaron.
A second later, the light was replaced by a huge projection of a man. Most likely a mage.
The projection looked down at Aaron and started laughing.
"Ha ha ha ha ha, I've finally found him."
The old man kept on laughing for a few seconds and then came to a stop.
He started talking "you must be wondering who I am, let me tell you. I am one of the ten god-level mages."
As soon as the old man said that, Aaron's mouth was gaping open.
Although he had grown up in a remote village and didn't know the names of the strongest mages in the empire.
He had heard of the ten god-level mages.
They were mages of the ancient times that had reached the pinnacle of the ancient world. Only one step away from godhood.
Aarons mind was spinning around trying to take in the information after all the old man was one of the strongest mages to ever exist.
Suddenly, he thought of about a doubt he had about the ancient times.
He asked "how did the mages of the ancient times disappear without any signs"
This question clearly stirred something in the old man's heart, but was disappointed by the answer.
" you will find out once you reach the top"
The words " the top" reminded him of something. He had told himself that he would become the strongest mage.
Now the strongest mage of all time was in front of him, he couldn't let this chance go.
Aaron knelt down and said "please take me in as you student! I want to become the strongest. Please teach me!"
The old man look at Aaron and said "ha ha ha, you don't need to do all this. The fact that you could open the seal on this scroll means you are worthy enough to receive my inheritance"
The moment these worlds travelled into Aaron's ears, his blood started boiling.
He thought "The inheritance of the strongest mage. It'll surely be something divine"
The old man started talking "receive the inheritance"
Aaron knelt down and looked up.
