Chapter 13: Light from the long Darkness
"Because of excessive greed."
"Greed?"
"That's right, you know Nunnunlly, human is being that can easily blind with greed, they never feel content for what they have so they can't stop to having more ."
"For example, your father Charles zi Britannia choose to conquer all the country not because of wanting to create a perfect world but to stop anyone to taking his position."
"With his strength he right to compete for better thing, with that strength greed start to breed, as greed germinate the effect start to get stronger and stronger and in the end wanting more is become normal for him."
He look at Nunnunlly and ask." Do you know why your brother use this huge weapon?"
"To wipe the rebellion?"
"Your wrong, the way you think is naive, this weapon is not use for what you think but to scared and intimidate those who fight your family."
"But brother Schneizelsaid different, he said we can use it to stop the rebellion, to prevent more blood to spill, to prevent -"
"To prevent your brother Lelouch for taking the throne right?"
Nunnunlly slitly taken back, she know that she is sitting here as wild card to fight her brother, even though she don't know the deep meaning of her existence here, she know that she need to stop her brother.
Looking at her, Xin suddenly gave him a offer." I can give you three wishes but you can only wish something normal and I will try to grant it for you."
"Why?"
"Not really, I just can see that your going to become good Queen in the future."
"That's impossible, I have two brothers who will be the next Emperor."
"Don't worry, you will know the future why so tell me what do you wish for?"
"Can you really grante any wish?" Nunnunlly still doubful for this special guest of her but she know that he is special person coming here without getting notice.
"What is the consequences I need to bear? I know there's no free lunch in this world so tell me?"
Xin then told her everything she need to know, the content of the contract that she will going to sign and the form of payment she needs.
Nunnunlly is not a fool, she understand so many things and the thing she don't know learn from her previous maids.
Nunnunlly who silently sitting suddenly ask." Can I hold your hand?" She said as she raise her own arms waiting for Xin's decision.
In instant she feel something hot hold her hand, not like the other hand she hold, this big hand is hot but the hotness feel comfortable because of the cold weather around.
"Can you really grant me my wishes?"
"That's right."
Hearing his confirmation, Nunnunlly turn silent again, she trying to sense any falsehood but she can't find anything.
After the death of her mother, Nunnally is left unable to walk, and later her father casts his Geass on her causing her to believe that she is blind. She has the natural ability to know if a person is lying by touching their hand.
Base from her experience everyone can lie there's various of lie but she never encounter a person who don't have any falsehood on his answer.
She try again and start to ask various question to check if it is true but after some times she finally realized that this person is not lying, what he told her is all true, and she is wandering how can be true for something that is impossible to accomplish.
Seeing doubt from her small face, Xin clear know what she thinking, a blind person will never accept something as incredible as what Xin talking, there's no human can give what Xin promise.
"Why not grant you a small request to clear your disordered mind?"
"?"
Xin walk closer and bow down, Nunnunlly taking back after smelling the masculine smell coming closer and the hot air blowing in to her face.
A light kiss to her close eyes made Nunnunlly tremble and can't help but to open it.
Light!! She see light from the darkness she know!!! A light she almost forgotten!!
