Chapter 7: Transition
"Thank you for your hard work! You can take some of the energy drinks in the fridge so you could have something to drink with you during your job."
The two movers nodded and gratefully took some of the drinks and left, leaving me in an apartment full of boxes. I walked up to the balcony and viewed the area, getting myself familiar with it.
It has been a year since the Junior High Meet and I finally will be going into highschool in a week. The place that I chose to get into was pretty far from my house so I asked my parents if I can live in a place closer to the school so I don't need to travel so far. They were okay with me living by myself but my sister was worried if I was able to survive being by myself.
I told her I could get by just fine but she started to question my plans on making food. I can cook somewhat.. well. It may not taste good but it was still edible, food is food. I started to question her ability to cook back and we started to bicker for a while. She finally relented when I told her I could just get some food from the convenience store if I really needed to.
She felt sad that I wasn't going to go with her and Tsutomu to Shiratorizawa Academy. But I just told her it's not like we won't see each other. I can always come visit whenever I can.
But don't get me started with Tsutomu. He started throwing a fit saying why can't I come to Shiratorizawa but I just told him that I wanted to go for my own reasons. He surprisingly accepted it quickly and just said one last thing to me.
"Now that we're going to be on opposite sides of the court, I will show you who can be the better ace between us! So you better not slack off since if you do, I will be the one who will take that title." After that he turned around and left.
I smiled thinking about that moment and I was happy that I can have someone that can remind me to always continue improving. The reason why I didn't want to go to Shiratorizawa is because I feel like I wouldn't enjoy their playstyle. Gathering all the strongest players you can have and putting them on a team to absolutely crush your opponents doesn't fit my image of volleyball.
In a sport where a player can only touch the ball once, the feeling of connectivity you make between players and creating a synergy is something I like to be a part of. I heard about a team in Tokyo that fits that description but I didn't want to live off too far and I found a school that fits my style near me so I decided where I wanted to go.
And one other reason is I want to play against strong players. I would love to play against Tsutomu in an official game as we were always teammates since the start of my volleyball journey but there is one player that caught my attention when I played in junior high.
Wakatoshi Ushijima
Although playing against him for only one year, seeing him destroy countless blocks and being practically unblockable I always wanted to play against him again as he already graduated and went off to highschool before I could challenge him again. His team was the only team where we couldn't beat with the exception of Kitagawa Daiichi that still had Oikawa and Iwaizumi. After those players graduated we became unbeatable but I always felt like it wasn't a true win against them since they were not playing.
Looking at the view from his balcony, Haruto's sapphire blue eyes gleamed with excitement and anticipation as he started to look forward to playing against them once again.
*Gurgle
"Yikes I forgot I still haven't had lunch yet.. I'll just get a bento to fill me up and start unpacking."
Getting ready quickly to go out he put on his shoes and opened the door. As he stepped out he heard a door open to his right and he looked towards the sound. Walking out was a beautiful girl that had silky smooth blonde hair and large caramel eyes. I looked at her for a while but greeted her as I didn't want to be seen as a creep for staring at her too long.
"Hello, my name is Haruto Watanabe. It seems like I'll be your neighbor from now on. It's a pleasure to meet you" I greeted her formally with a small smile
She looked at me and greeted me back.
"Hello Watanabe-san, I'm Mahiru Shiina and it's a pleasure to meet you too." She gave a formal and distant greeting back and bowed her head. After doing so she turned around and walked towards the stairs.
I didn't mind since we just greeted each other as neighbors and nothing else. I started to make my way down and was deciding in my head if I wanted to have a beef or pork bento box.

A week later I was looking up and saw the sakura petals fall, I arrived at the school.
Karasuno High
Seeing the many students around me I made my way towards the gymnasium as I had already signed my name on the registration form for the volleyball club. I got by the many recruiters trying to get members for their clubs and arrived at the gym. I opened the doors and saw that it was empty only having a singular volleyball net set up in the middle of the gym. I picked up a ball from the rack and started to play around as I waited for the other members to arrive.
*Kaching
Hearing the door open I turned towards it and was surprised by who I saw.
"You…"

"Here. New member's registration." A beautiful girl with short hair, gray eyes and distinctive mole on the left side of her chin said while handing a piece of paper to a guy in a black jersey
"Not a lot of new members huh...I was expecting there to be more.."
"Kiyoko-san! You're looking beautiful as always!" yelled out a guy with a skin cut. The girl ignored him and stayed silent.
While a lot of commotion was happening near him he look at the form
!!!
"Huh! These two.. could they be!?"

Running through the school's hallway a short guy with messy orange hair can be seen rushing through the crowds of people. He dodged all the people stating that he had already joined a club.
"I'm here! Finally I made it to Karasuno. From now on I'm going to keep practicing and practicing until I make it through the prefecture's leading school and finally take revenge on that King!"
"And maybe have a chance to fight against Watanabe-san on equal grounds.."
Opening the door to the gym he was excited to begin his new journey until he saw two people standing in the gym. One of them turned around and was shocked to see who he was.
"WHY ARE YOU HERE??"

The beautiful angel has finally made her appearance!! I started to read back on the novel and just as I expected it still gave me diabetes. Anyways a bit of a shorter chapter than usual but Karasuno is here and is the first step to towards completing Haruto's dream. Until next time Peace!
