Chapter 6: Bruce Wayne's gala
After 2 weeks...
During the two weeks Ravindra and Vishal worked together to expand their business by buying off the properties of crime lord and used half of crime lord money on building new apartments and start a security company with military training to safeguard them and the areas of Crime Alley, Burnley, Gotham Harbor, Tri Corner etc.
After the incident Vishal has suggested to his father to increase security of not only the company and the neighborhoods against any crime elements that might enter from outside. Ravindra agreed as they have already been put in precarious situation during the gangster's attack.
Vishal leaked some information anonymously in the form of rumors' how Gordon and GCPD nearly died in the attack. The reason he did this is because Gordon would try to cover up things on advise from Batman to not make things work and to stagnate the problems.
He has seen such type of tricks from Batman and Gordon too many times so he isn't going to let them play the trick.
Leaving the rich population aside, the common folks and people who are from lower rungs of society lashed out at GCPD for their incompetence.
The social media is filled with hashtags blaming the GCPD. Leaving the people of crime alley aside many common folk who are middle class work for "Amarnath group of Industries". Only after the company appeared lots of jobs with reasonable salaries were offered to people. Among the people working in the company exactly 58% of people used to be middle class people while 35% constitute the poor people while the remaining were already from rich backgrounds joining there to either gather secrets or just pass off time from families.
There are many middle income people too who have suffered due to the crime lords and GCPD's incompetence.
Bruce Wayne aka Batman was contacted by Gordon.
"Things are getting out of hand. My superiors are already in thoughts to remove me from the position." said Gordon.
"There is a way we can salvage this situation. I received news that the Yakuza have sent assassins to kill the father and son duo because they think those guys are responsible for their losses in Gotham.
If the GCPD can capture them and lock them away, you can at least save some face." said Batman from the cave.
"Send the location. We'll be there with our team." said Gordon.
Batman send the location of the Yakuza's hideout and raided with a police team and captured the assassins with two police officers dead as casualties.
They called the media about the capture.
"We've received tip from an anonymous source that assassins were sent by Yakuza from abroad to cause chaos in Gotham.
Our teams have raided their hideouts and captured them. There are 10 weapons cache, 50 million worth of cash and drugs recovered from the location.
We are here to assure the people of Gotham that GCPD will always be there to protect them." said Gordon to the media.
Many question and answers were done between media and Gordon regarding the incident.
Vishal and Ravindra were sitting in an Italian restaurant and eating Spaghettis when they saw the news of Commissioner's interview.
"Yeah" scoffed Vishal. Ravindra understood his gesture. Even he could see the GCPD trying to save face after the utter failure.
"As if we couldn't see that the anonymous tip is none other than Batman." said Ravindra. Over years he along with his son gained insights on how their arrangement worked.
"You know shameless would be even a small word to describe GCPD right now." said Vishal.
"Hahaha. Well pointed out." said Ravindra laughing.
"In other news the Wayne foundation is hosting a gala as a form of donation to GCPD because they believe the GCPD's failure to protect the people is due to insufficient funding and lack of proper equipment." came he reporters voice.
"What?" said Ravindra eyes widened. He clenched his fists in anger after the announcement came.
Vishal had anger in his heart and his eyes became red. "Host calm down." came system's voice.
The system activated a skill "Calm demeanor". Vishal opened the status window.

The reason for him asking a system is that because he needed other skills other than magic. He failed to do nearly 20 tasks over years and penalties were applied but he got back again and again made the status window filled with skills.
Vishal calmed down and started thinking why system interrupted him because when he gets angry system would be silent.
"There must be some reason for doing this." thought Vishal regarding the gala.
Vishal thought for a while and something clicked. "Wait, system does it mean this is a trap?" asked Vishal
"Bingo! Host." said the system.
"I see. This guy is taunting the mass murderer that we are with the Police department and you won't be able to change anything about it." thought Vishal gritting the teeth with a intense look.
"The gala is a bait for Batman to capture the guy. Not only that but if either father or son were to react adversely to this taunting then public will think that Amarnath group of Industries is supporting a mass murderer." thought Vishal.
"Well done Bruce Wayne aka Batman. I had problems with Batman not Bruce Wayne but now you have given me ammunition to attack Bruce Wayne." thought Vishal with a crazed smile.
"Son, should we give interview to a newspaper to show that this is false." asked Ravindra banging the table.
The people over there looked at him as someone lost in anger and started minding their own business.
"No need. If we do this then public would think that we are supporters of murderous vigilante." said Vishal.
"But how are we supposed to counter that guy. We thought that we will die that day." asked Ravindra uncomfortably.
"I know. Wayne knows how to control things and put a façade. This is his indirect way to say that you need to back off from Gordon." said Vishal.
"Ding! Host has been issued a Task. Please check it."
Task: Turn the tables on Bruce Wayne.
Reward: Red Lantern's power
Vishal looked at the task and reward. He liked the reward though he might lose control from that power.
"No need to worry host. You will not lose control because this is an advanced version of the power and you don't even need to recharge a ring." replied the system.
"Then let's show that c*nt sucking c*ck Bruce Wayne what happens when he messes with me." thought Vishal with a evil smile.
