Chapter 36: Vishal vs Red Hood (final) and outlaws bade farewell
As they started fighting each other, every punch, kick, and deflection that Jason was performing was far better than in the first round.
Jason sent a hook, which was evaded by bending the face to the right side. But Jason didn't give him time as he delivered a spinning kick before Vishal could adjust himself, and Vishal received the kick and fell down but rolled and adjusted his posture.
Jason's anger is controlled, and he is redirecting it towards Vishal by fueling the anger with his moves. "Impressive," thought Vishal.
"Now I understand why he is more dangerous than other Robins. His body is made for fighting, and when it comes to comprehending the art of fighting, he is much better than those three." Vishal said to himself.
Vishal decided to increase his power and speed. He quickly appeared before Vishal, but Red Hood blocked the incoming kick to his gut and used his leg to trip Vishal immediately, but Vishal jumped and used the other leg to kick Jason's chin.
Jason bent backward, and the kick met the air. Vishal made some distance with a backflip, but Jason jumped and tackled his body. But Vishal used his two legs to kick Jason off his body.
Jason's anger was growing, but the words of Vishal put his mind into using the anger as a weapon, so he was not making any reckless or unnecessary moves.
The melee fight kept going on from the ground, with two of them jumping and balancing on narrow walls while fighting.
"He's succeeded." said Artemis with a smile.
"Yeah, Jason is under control, and his anger is his weapon." said Roy.
"Yes, I can somehow feel the punches and kicks are much stronger than in the first round." said Kori.
"The mark Joker left on you will only be a scar of the past, and I'll make sure of that." Vishal had this thought in mind.
"You'll be reborn like a phoenix from the ashes."
The walls in the back yard are broken, and cracks appeared on the ground due to their fight.
Jason's intensity to throw punches is quite good, and the fluidity with which he throws a punch and follows up has taken him to another level.
Vishal did not back down, as he kept dodging and returning blow after blow.
Vishal has broken down the damaged psyche of Jason and built it in a way that suits Jason Todd much better than when he was with Batman, League of Shadows, and The All-Cast.
Jason was enjoying this fight because he felt free after releasing his pent up anger and frustration towards the injustice he suffered, anger towards Batman for not avenging him after his death, and also anger towards the system that let the clown live.
Every hit, punch, and movement was released from the shackles of recklessness and inefficiency, and they were replaced with wings of control, precise and efficient movements.
"I feel liberated." thought Jason as two of them lunged and delivered a punch, which was met by another punch, thus ending their battle with neither of them being the winner.
"You win, Jason." said Vishal.
"What?" asked Jason.
"I used my power to heal my abdomen before trying to punch you. So, you're the winner." said Vishal.
"I see." said Jason as a feeling of happiness hit him.
"It worked." thought Vishal.
"Yes host. Never did I think that someone could be molded in such a way." said the system.
"That is why martial arts disciples search for a master. A master always knows the kind of man you are, the type of body you have, and also the techniques to be imparted on you.
Jason's temper is the explosive kind that doesn't take shit from others and gets easily angered. This is far different from Dick Grayson, who is the easygoing type. He is not like Tim Drake, who is focused on impressing Batman, or that cocky-faced brat Damien, who is insulting, condescending.
Batman has a habit of controlling things and want his adoptive children to maintain control just like he does. It is an admirable thought but it cannot be applied to all and one of the examples is Red Hood who has experienced hell at every phase of his life." Vishal explained to system.
"Batman has only experienced one bad day where he lost his parents but this guy has experienced an abusive father, forced to steal tyres, tortured and killed by Joker and the biggest betrayal of a mother luring her own child to a place and handing him to Joker. The father who adopted him did not avenge him either by killing the lunatic or legally through court.
I think his anger is justified in this aspect but not completely. He needs to release that anger and I decided to be the guy who will be his target and make him to use that anger as a weapon rather than anger using him and clouding his decisions." said Vishal to system.
"So, you wanted him to be in a state of controlled anger?" asked System.
"Yes. I have corrected one flaw that Batman always takes advantage of when he fights Jason. Let's see what happens when there is another showdown between Batman and Red Hood." Vishal thought.
Ravindra came near Vishal and gave a pat with smile. "You cannot deceive your old man, Vishal. I know you lied to make Jason feel happy." said Ravindra.
"It's better this way because he is going to need all the encouragement he can get for whatever he is going to do next." said Vishal winking and smiling.
Ravindra with a gentle smile nodded and they both went inside to get ready for the work in company.
After 1 week...
The time has come for Jason and his team to leave today.
"Thank you for letting us stay for all this time." said Kori.
"You're welcome. Take care all of you." said Ravindra.
"If I ever visit to meet you two I want to fight you Vishal." said Artemis.
"Sure. I want to see what an amazon of Bana Mighdall has in store." replied Vishal shaking her hand.
"Oh! You knew?" asked Artemis.
"Yes. I was interested in history and mythology so I researched and knew you are different from Wonder Woman." lied Vishal.
Artemis nodded in respect.
"And Roy take this container." said VIshal giving a small red white container.
"What is it?" asked Roy.
"Water containing my healing power which can not only cure wounds or damages but also used to cure poison." replied Vishal.
"We can't take this."said Arsenal.
"No. Jason is family to us and you all are dear to him so take care of him and yourselves" said Ravindra.
They tried to talk them out of it but they lost and were made to take it.
They left the house and made way to bikes parked in a nearby parking.
After the farewell, the father and son made way to company.
"Ding! Host has been issued a task. Please check it."
Task: Inspect the Dead Zone in Arkham and stop the dangers lurking within it.
Reward: System shop unlocked.
Time Limit: 4 days
Penalty: Stats brought to F.
"I've been waiting. I'll do it today night and after that it is time for my vengeance against Hatter and to settle the score with Penguin." said Vishal with a serious look.
