Chapter 16: Booming business and Power

After Klaus decided on his path to power and wealth, he immediately ordered the construction of factories required for making glass, perfumes, soaps, etc...

It didn't take long before profits started to pour in.

Especially the soaps and perfumes were loved by the noble ladies. He even produced scented soaps which are much costlier than normal soaps. These were a hit wherever they go. The demand started to grow and ellipse the production rate.

With huge demands, he had to open new lines of production which he already expected.

This was his strategy from the beginning when he first started a business. He buys a lot of lands, but limited production lines. They expand as demand rises.

Unlike before which only dealt food industry which many don't care about, many eyes started to look toward Klaus.

He knows that this would happen. He not only hired a lot of bodyguards under magic contracts but also spent time increasing his power.

After he bought the guide and meditation technique, he checked both with what was available to him in this world. There is a lot of information lacking in the latter.

He felt good that he trusted his instincts to buy the items from Sin Shop.

Normally in this world, a mage would only form mana heart and mana circuits but the guide showed a lot more. A mage can form an entire body made of mana inside his body.

There would mana duplicate of one's body.

The use is that one can store more mana, regenerate mana quickly, enhance body, and do quick spell casting. This would essentially increase the attack and defense power of the person both magical and physical.

After three months of hard work, he finally reached Low-level Tier-0. A mage who formed mana heart and mana circuits is considered a Low-level Tier-0 or Apprentice Mage.

However, in Klaus's case, he did more than just form mana heart and mana circuits.

After successfully reaching Tier-0, he can now cast spells based on pure mana.

When he attends the academy, there would be a lot of competition to face. It's just not a competition but also jealousy, greed, etc... which creates enemies and would put him in life-threatening situations.

He not only needed to rise his power capacity but also his power usage. If he only increased his Tier but can't use spells properly, it would be a total waste.

Luckily for him, there is a training ground in the old estate for him to practice the spells, after all the old estate is a fortress that used to be the place of command in old times.

The first spell he decided to learn is mana shield. No matter how much he attacks, once an attack happens on him, if he can't defend, it is game over for him.

By drinking the comprehension concoction, his talent for grasping magic has increased. This is the reason he became a Tier-0 mage in three months.

A mage in this would only take one month or two at most to reach this stage but with the complexity that came with the increased power of the new method he bought in the Sin Shop, it should take at least six months. This changed by consuming the concoction.

He can even learn the spells faster than anyone else. He doesn't need to worry much about his tier improvement. The meditation technique is top-notch. Without worries, it would increase his rank faster than anyone else in less time.

He decided that he should advance to Tier-1 before the academy. Moreover, he needed to learn Mana shield, Mana bullet, and Mana blast. These three are needed to get a better position at the academy.

Before assigning to a class, new admissions are tested. The better their rank and power usage, the higher their position in the academy.

Top students would be given various amenities and resources that the bottom ranks can't get.

Amenities include a personal house, training area, etc...

Top students could buy top-notch mana advancement potions which are used when one reaches the peak of a tier and couldn't advance to the next tier. Any student can buy the potions but high-grade potions are restricted as they are low in production and are not easy to come by.

The better the grade, the better the chances of improvement.

The resources not only vary in quality but also in quantity.

For the next eight months, his itinerary is composed of either business, training, or meditation.
