Chapter 40: Starrk Makes a Move
Starrk looked around the battlefield, his deep grey-blue eyes gazed at the Soul Reapers. He glanced at the black-haired unkempt man before him, then turned his head, besides the soul reapers on the 3 pillars and the Captains in the sky there were more hidden among the buildings. He looked up at the cyan-haired Arrancar seated on the throne, her posture was slightly slouched while her right arm supported her head. 'Lady Layla has yet to make a move neither has Aizen, even though he is trapped by the Head Captain's Zanpakuto I'm sure that he has some sort of plan to get out of that. Let's break the Ice a bit.'
Starrk then turned his head back toward his opponent, "Shuhei Hisagi, I understand that you like to avoid violence if possible, however, today that is not possible." Holding his Zanpakuto perpendicular to the ground with his arm fully extended Starrks calm eyes flashed a dangerous glint. His body started to radiate power comparable to the Espada above in magnitude, "My orders were clear, usually I wouldn't resort to using a bulldozer to squash an anthill but this is tedious."
Two powerful gazes fell onto Starrk and Shuhei, "*Kick About, Los Lobos*" The immense release of spirit energy expanded outward shattering the windows of the fake town below as the winds blew debris throughout the area. The Old man's long white beard fluttered in the breeze as he opened an eye to get a better look at the release of the Arrancar.
'Espada Cero seems to have hidden many things about the Arrancar while our forces' strengths and weaknesses are known. Her knack for leadership is shown as sometimes battles are won through battles of intellect and not just brute strength. She is a shrewd opponent that has nurtured extremely powerful subordinates, this Arrancar has the power of an Espada.' The Head captain thought as he stared at Starrk.
When released Starrk wields two identical ornamental pistols, however unlike in the original when his left eye would become similar to the original Lilynette's mask. Now his pupils and iris took the shape of crosshairs, the rest is still the same his upper body is covered in a gray fur-lined jacket over a double-breasted vest, while his legs are covered in dark, skin-tight pants, with gray knee-high fur leggings covering his lower legs, and his arms are covered in gray, elbow-length fur armbands, which end at his wrists.
Starrk was in a low kneeling position following his release, his immense spiritual pressure was the focus of the other seated officers available, Dozens of eyes locked onto the kneeling figure. Some smiled, some started to sweat, but they all had the same thought go through their minds, 'He's Strong.'
A bald-headed Soul reaper started to smile as he looked in the direction of Starrk, "Hes a worthy opponent, his strength is triggering my body's fight or flight response." Lifting up his arm he gazed at the small bumps that were appearing causing his smile to get even wider.
Next to this soul reaper stood another that was wearing dark sunglasses and his hair was styled in a flat top, "Ikkaku I know it is you style to leave things one vs one but I know you feel this spiritual pressure. That Arrancar isn't someone that Shuihei can defeat on his own."
"That doesn't matter to me Tetsuzaemon, winner or loser is decided by their opponent's death. Shuihei understands that better than most members of the 13 court guard squads."
"Look above you," When Tetsuzaemon said that a pink cero flew towards a white-haired Captain. Raising his Zanpakuto the Cero entered the blade, the 5 talismans on his Zanpakuto shined a bright pink color before the Cero was released through the other blade.
The Green Haired Arrancar swallowed the Cero, the second captain was nearby, "Takaoni." The captain appeared in the air above the Espada only for her to turn her head in his direction. Opening her mouth she fired a Cero Doble, her power, plus Captain Ukitake, then she added more of her own power towards Captain Kyoraku. Engulfed by the overwhelming power of the Primera Espada's Cero, Kyoraku defended himself with his Zanpakuto.
Ikkaku looked at the Fight between the Two Captains and an Espada in awe, the three figures moved throughout the battlefield at speeds he couldn't keep up with. The shockwaves of their Zanpakuto clashing make his body freeze and his heart race, "Indeed they are extremely powerful but-"
Before Ikkaku could finish his sentence, Captains Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi, and Sajin Komamura appeared next to the duo. Tetsuzaemon went into a kneeling position as soon as he saw his Captain, "Captain Komamura! Sir!"
The Captain nodded in acknowledgment as he looked at the Arrancar in the distance, " I understand your sentiments of honor however your honor means nothing before your duty. Today your duty is to defeat the enemy, these are some of the most powerful enemies that we have ever seen. We expected the Espada to be powerful, Vasto Lorde class Hollows can rival even Captains but the Espada are something far more terrifying."
Captain Komamura turned his head to Ikkaku then looked up at the Cyan Haired Arrancar, "I know you felt it when we first got here. That Massive Spiritual pressure that was nearly on par with both the Head Captain and Aizen's, it was a presence that none of the Captains expected from an Arrancar yet here she is and the Other Espada are nearly as frightening."
"Hunt, Tiburón" The Clouds darkened as a torrential downpour began causing water to rush through the streets of the town below as if it was a delta. Despite this Captain Komamura never took his eyes off of Ikkaku, the water covered his ankles yet his eyes showed a determination that made Ikkaku feel embarrassed.
"Don't you understand? Death in this situation is a luxury, one that isn't even assured to us! The power these Arrancar possess can bring all of us to our knees, they can bring about suffering, unlike anything we have ever experienced before!" As he paused he looked at Starrk who now stood tall, he turned his head to Tier as well, who stood before Captain Hitsugaya and Captain Muguruma as if they were nothing more than bugs beneath her feet.
"Only Together do we stand a chance! Do you understand 3rd Seat Madarame?!"
