Chapter 8: Unseen
The Dean of the Stellar Academy is a splendid talent that has been serving the empire for seven decades. He is intelligent and highly perceptive, no one comes near him when it comes to pure intellect. He published countless books that covers different disciplines of politics and management.
He is trusted by the royal empire and had a very big influenced to its people.
Dean Henry Harriet, a noble born man from the south that rise to the power because of his deeds.
He who is already on his geriatric age he had a very few good friends who he could show his laid back attitude. Most of them if not dead then they are retired to the far lands from empire.
His wife also has been busy to being lady in waiting to the second princess. So he is alone and very sad this past few years.
He often find himself in solitude.
But today is a special day for him. After the assembly to the school he will see her only daughter after a very long years .
Her daughter, Nadine Harriet, is like him a special ability holder and inherited his inhuman intelligence. After years of serving the empire her daughter receive the greatest honor of taking the seventh sit of the Empire's seven swords.
As he walk to the hall of the school he heard commotion of the students. When he reached the area he caught miss Oliver and miss Lumber to be in a heated debate. But Miss Lumber immediately leave the place and Miss Oliver took the chance to check on the woman on the floor.
When Dean Henry saw the woman whom Miss Oliver helping he immediately formed a frown.
Henry pride himself to be a genius not only because of his in-born intelligence but also because of his special ability, foresight.
Special ability holders are those people who has no affinity to any elemental, magic, and aura but can still convert mana to manifest a phenomenon.
Henry's foresight is an ability to see everything he wants as long his target is within his sight. He can see their abilities, thoughts, skills, even their deepest secret, he can see it all. Nothing could be hidden from him and combine with his intellect he could even forsee the future of an individual.
He could look into anyone except from one person , Isabel Rigris.
He could still remember the first time she saw Isabel...
Beautiful! she's a beauty among the beauties of the Empire, but behind those silver eyes he couldn't see anything. He can't peek into her thoughts.
Like this time, he can see her smiling like a spring after a very long winter but what he could feel is a chill on his spine instead of warmth. He can't determine what those eyes really tell. Henry who prided himself to know everything, feels dumbfounded whenever he meets Isabel.
"Miss Oliver please assist Miss Rigris to the infirmary, you both can skip the gathering. The announcements will be posted to the news board after. "
"Thank you to the kindness of the Dean. Please excuse us."
"Isabel, let me help you."
The two girls stand and make their way to the infirmary. When Isabel passed Dean Henry.
" Hup!... Ah..."
Henry felt an unseen force that stop his breathing shortly. That was very brief but he never felt that sinister and pure hatred emotions like never before.
Isabel Rigris just what you are? I hope you will survive the oppression of the royal empire, may you survive the hunter fest.
Dean Henry wished on his heart the safety of Isabel. Because he knows the palace want her to suffer so much.
"I should stop stressing myself."
He steeled himself and look optimistically to his reunion with her daughter and try to forget the matters with Isabel.
After the assembly everyone was shocked when Isabel was called to be one of the student trainee in hunter fest.
Everyone find it ridiculous and know to their hearts she will be the sacrifice of this year's hunt fest. The palace must be tired of keeping a laughing stock to the Empire.
