They were a violent, potent, efficient, and aggressive psychic grooming that ended almost instantly. Then it would depart coldly, leaving Tarian alone, shaking in fear.

Also, Kestrel and Tarian only ever had the most basic, therapeutic psychic grooming. They never had a deeper connection.
