Chapter 1: Chapter 1: I Started in the Universe!
From the stream of people passing the tranquil alley stumbled one blonde elf. On his unkempt face was a smile bursting with pleasure. With one step, he lost balance and faceplanted onto the ground, the bottle of pills and canteen in his hands falling to the white brick pavement. Luckily for him, the canteen was sealed.
"Hah… those debt collectors won't catch me here before I leave…"
The elf laughed weakly while he pushed himself off the ground and laid his back against a nearby wall. He picked up the bottle and canteen, unsealing the latter and taking a swig.
"Pah! I wonder what this last high will be like before I go see Mom and Dad."
A piercing pain suddenly struck his forehead. He dropped the canteen and held his forehead with a groan. After the pain subsided, some sort of system entered his field of view. It looked to be one similar to some he had seen in TV shows.
After he tapped the Character Information button, his stat sheet slowly printed.

"What the fuck is this bullshit? It's even got that failure of an Esper ability I spent 5k trying to awaken. This high is probably going to suck- just like everything else. Since the mortal plane wants to remind me of how horrible life is, I've got one response for you."
The Elf, Meng Min, held his fist in the air and raised his middle finger. His smile turned into a sneer.
"Fuck you, Uncle! Fuck you, Aunt! Fuck you, Jia! Someday, we'll all rot in purgatory together."
Meng Min's hp ticked down to 1. The alley darkened as the elf leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes. Right when his health ticked to zero, a new notification appeared in the Interface.

A terrible ache pulsed through Min's head. With a groan, he roused from his sleep, opening his crusty eyes. 'Ugh… is this what a hangover feels like? But I didn't drink at the graduation party last night!'
When Min's eyes fully focused on his surroundings, he jolted in his seated position. He cleared the crust from his eyes while frantically looking around.
'Hey, this is an alley! I didn't sleep in an alley! I slept in my nice, thrift store bed! How did I get here? Was I kidnapped and left out here as a prank, or…?'
Min stood up and took in his surroundings. He instantly noticed that the architecture of the surrounding buildings was different than the standard American architecture he was accustomed to. This architecture was a mix of classical Chinese and Japanese, with most of the buildings having an ivory and gold color scheme.
He peeked out of the alley and saw hordes of elves navigating a wide street. Despite the bustling atmosphere of the city, there was an almost unnerving amount of cleanliness.
The sheer number of people was intimidating, and Min instinctually shrunk back slightly. In the city's blue, cloudless sky flew many spaceships. They varied in size, but none were larger than a commercial jet. Though difficult to see in the day, the faint outlines of numerous space stations and artificial satellites were visible.
The beautifully kept snow-white brick streets were not absent of vehicles. Some small ground vehicles, which were similar to bikes, passed through the middle part of the street.
Though there was no set boundary between the middle part of the street and its peripheries, the middle clearly was reserved for vehicles. The walking citizens subconsciously made way for their fellow citizens.
'Uhm… There were no elves before I went to sleep. What happened? Did I transmigrate? If so, I must have a system, right?'
Min closed his eyes and muttered "status", however, nothing happened. He instantly felt embarrassed and cringed at himself. After locking this bad feeling in a mental vault, he thought about which universe he was in. As he rested against the wall and extended his hands, he realized something.
'Yo, where'd my muscles go?! Why am I a scrawny crybaby now?!?!'
Before he could continue freaking out, one of his hands touched a certain part of the air, and an interface with a blue background appeared. It read "Welcome to Galaxy" and opened the Interface, showing his Character Information.

'Gu-Gu-Gu-GALAXY?!?! Wait, wait, wait. This system is exactly like the one from that great book! I've been transmigrated to *that* universe? I was just re-reading TLM!'
His mental images of Han Xiao, the universe described in "The Legendary Mechanic", and so much more flooded through his head. He jumped up and yelled strangely as if there was some mucus stuck in his throat. After jumping a few times, he coughed violently and regained his clarity.
'Cough, cough… While I do love the misadventures of the Great Mechanic Han, this isn't exactly an easy place to be dropped in. As the Venerable Han once said…'
'Get me out!'
Min sighed and leaned harder against the cold wall behind him, scrolling through the Interface.
'Not like saying that will work. Luckily, it looks like I'm on a developed galactic-level planet, so I should have some time to plan my next steps. Also; I already have my main class? And I have two Esper abilities?'
Min contemplated this fact. With two Esper abilities, and one that seemed very unique, one would think Min was ecstatic. While he was, he knew that this extraordinary circumstance could get him into EsGod's line of sight.
Since he didn't want his Esper abilities stolen, he'd have to form a good plan to hide his second ability. Though it was annoying to start out with two distant enemies, he kind of chose the second one, so he couldn't complain.
Also, dealing with EsGod would help with the World Tree Civilization, so it could be a good thing.
'Speaking of World Tree… I've got to deal with them if Han Xiao isn't here. Even if he is, the increase in Information Links will make them arrive sooner. We have maybe a century to prepare… but I'll deal with that later.
The trash potential of that [Internal Energy Control] ability is concerning. I might be able to increase its potential if I understand [Everlasting Journey]'s description right. Also, it appears that I'm an elf. Based on the people I saw walking around, does that mean I'm a natural citizen of this country?'
Min moved his hands up and down beside his ears, feeling that they were a lot longer than normal.
'If so, I should have some UBI coming my way. Most Galactic civilizations have that, according to TLM. I suppose that makes up for my disadvantage in terms of intel, given Galaxy didn't exist in my old world. Wow, it feels weird to say that. "Old World".'
Min read then moved to his Esper abilities. 'Two god-tier cultivation abilities from [Everlasting Journey]?! Is this 1 LUK stat a fake? I'll have to ask Han to check for Luck Glow when I see him. I've always suspected that it was a hidden skill. Anyway, I need a good place to plan everything, so let's see where I live.'
Min took out his galactic communicator and fiddled with it, trying to discover how to power it on. However, a masked person dropped down from above him and covered his mouth, stabbing a sharp needle into his neck.
He widened his eyes and struggled against the person's grip, but his vision and strength slowly faded as his body slumped against the wall.
The person lifted her black ski mask, only showing the area below her nose before bringing up a communication device to her ear. The person had a rather feminine chin with red lips. Her figure looked more masculine than feminine, but she had breasts. This look was an aspect of her species- a subset of the Galactic Human race.
She whispered in a high and feminine voice, sounding like she was talking at a normal volume despite her whisper.
"I got him! Aren't you proud of me- okay… ugh, I'll move him, I'll move him! Sheesh."
She snorted indignantly as she slung Min's unconscious body over her shoulder like a bag of rice. She hopped up to where she came from, disappearing into the shadows. The only things remaining in the alley were an empty canteen and a spilled bottle of pills.

Hello, all. If you have come to the end of this chapter, you might be slightly interested in the book. In the interest of transparency, I must tell you something. There will be no consistent upload schedule! Mindblowingly infuriating, I know. However, I want this to be as good as I can make it, so chapters will be released when I deem them finished. I plan on making 20 chapters before taking a break to properly plan the story out- if people want to see more.
