Chapter 162: Wife Material

"Guys, I am just joking."  Jax relented when four pairs of eyes were trained on him. One was angry, another one was hurt, the third one was wide-eyed with happiness, while the fourth one was curious.  He did not expect his playful remarks to elicit such a huge reaction.

"I'll get going."  Jax hurriedly stood up to escape.  He felt that the hair on his body was standing on its roots.  Despite his position as the president and CEO of Lee Financials, he still felt intimated by Erik.  Erik's powerful aura easily oppressed him and he hated himself for that.

People started to leave the party.  Aryana wanted to go home but Erik was still having a conversation with the Lopezes.  She did not have Ben with her as she came with Erik.
