Chapter 702: The reunion

Ella's entire being felt numb as the weight of her actions settled upon her. Collapsing to the ground, she unleashed a torrent of anguished cries. She had never imagined that she would ever commit a crime, let alone take someone's life. In her self-defense, she had done something she had never imagined before. 

She was devastated and cried her eyes out. Soon, she realized she couldn't stay here for a long time. Another group member of the goons named Noel would come to find his teammates. 

Summoning strength from the depths of her despair, Ella stood up and, with aching limbs, moved away from the haunting scene. As she emerged from the woods, the dawn greeted her with its gentle glow, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink.
