Sherly slowly opened her eyes, the reflection of the light contrasting with her gaze. Gently sitting up, she rubbed her eyes, only to notice the sterile surroundings of a hospital room. A drip was fixed to her left hand, and panic set in as she struggled to recall how she ended up here. Memories of the previous night flooded back – the absentminded walk into the road, the accident, and a blurry image of two guys approaching her before blacking out.
Surveying her environment, Sherly realized she was in a VIP intensive care unit. "Who would be so generous to pay for such an expensive room?" she muttered to herself, attempting to stand but only managing a stagger before sitting back on the bed. Her eyes spun, and her stomach rumbled; she hadn't eaten since last night. "Who's there? Nurse, anyone?" she called out.
