Chapter 9: Mid-city Battlefield
(SHADOW headquarters at 10:30 pm)
"Preparations are all made , the delivery of toxins are here .",said a agent .The agents of shadow were scared to fight but atleast the offered their support in preparations .The toxin that Mr Scorpion sent was a paralyzing agent that left victim motionless for an hour .Best for subduing enemies.Shadow organization were secret organization of government so they were not allowed to kill people for crimes , just capture them .
"Good we are leaving for our mission now . Listen up , Agent John Agent Sam.",said Jane to both of here teammates as the mission briefing.
" Our first priority should be to protect the people , then we will check for any any clues for our serial murderer if possible capture him .",Jane told them.
"Affirmative , we have broadcasted the protocol . Everybody is requested to stay at home and not leave their home under no circumstances.We even told people to not watch through windows.",said Agent John.
"Good but what if they still feel like peeping .",asked Jane.
"No worries I have a plan for that as well..",said Uncle Sam with a grin.
After a 15 minutes,
"Let's Roll out it's almost midnight ."

"Here wear this spare armor we have .",said Ryan to Cassie .
"Thanks it's cool and old and used .",said Cassie.
"That is our mom's armor .Anyways what is our plan .",said Rex.
"Ok ,ao listen up boys here at this map of our city i have marked all the places that were attacked . Here ,here and here.",said Cassie as she pointed at places that were attacked.
"Hmmmmm",they thought for a while and then it hit them.
" I got the connection ."said Ryan."Look closely all of those attacks were near manholes or sewer gates.Which means .."
"Our target lives in sewers ."said Rex as he punched his fist in excitement."He would be easy to electrocute then."
"Now here's the thing boys we must try to capture that person instead of electrocuting.",said Cassie .
"Let's go then, we have to make a hell of this birthday party.",said Ryan.
They all got suited up wearing light armor.Mostly armor usually comes in three stages the light ones that are flexible and and light and provide a little protection.
The medium armor provides more protection but slows the wearer a little and then there are heavy ones that provide best protection but also heavily restricts movements.
With light armor they could move more freely and allow maximum freedom to using weapons .Ryan on this mission decided to bring his hereditary sword and sheat along with his giant blunt training sword . Ryan just carried a backpack with some tools to fix Robo chimp if needed for this special mission Rex oiled him to battle ready condition.
Atleast the best he could do for a toy like robot with tazer as only weapon.
On the other hand Cassie just refused to take any type of sword .
"My mother taught me that fighting bare handed makes you more quick on your feet and more unpredictable .",said Cassie ."Sure so we must leave now let's go ,according to our finding the map tells us he is living beneath sewers under the centre of our city .",said Ryan .

Sounds rang around the city Agent Jane fired shots of toxin darts at people roaming at the night.
"Get those people out to safety , we can't have them killed under our protection .",said Agent Jane over the radio.
"Roger that, captain mam.",said Uncle Sam."Hope it ends today ."
As he along with John kept taking paralyzed people and shoving them in truck .
"Hey show some mercy we are drunk and paralyzed not dead yet,stop throwing us like ragdoll 😲😫.",said a random drunk dude they tried to save.

( At 11:50 pm at the center of the city )
"This place is oddly silent ,good for safety of people i guess.",said Rex .
"According to our clues and pattern of murders , the next attack should happen right here .",said Cassie .
They came there totally prepared , the centre of city or heart of pure strength as people called it.Was an conjunction for 6 roads so it was huge to be modest.
all six roads were connected in the middle and there was a statue of great bear in the circle in between .
people thought of it as symbol of power and balance .This was a big place to search for a sneaky murderer like the one they were searching for . Building were far from this road so that people don't get disturbed by continuous traveling of trucks and vehicles .
"Perfect for the battle we might face however I don't see how will we find him .",said Rex.
"No need for that...",said Ryan as he placed the tip of his training sword on the road ."He will find his prey on his own, standing in middle of an empty road ."
[I hope you are right boi , i ain't giving you power just to carry that huge sword of yours .]

"ssssshhh,Here he comes look at that bush.",Cassie pointed it out .
The bush kept moving slightly , as a low growl of a a dog ,a wolf perhaps.
The growling kept becoming more and more horrible and terrifying.
Both Rex and Ryan felt a chill down their spine almost stunned by the voice by fear .Only Cassie looked a little more in control somehow, she was scared as well but still was more calm than the boys ready to face their nightmare.
Hearts beating wildly and palms all sweaty.
[ He is just like us boy better be ready for a fight for your life ]

Just then the bushes rustled last time as a puppy stepped out ,white coloured and almost small and fluffy .
"Oh look he is so cute ...",as Rex tried to move ahead .
Ryan pulled him back, and this move was the perfect as the puppy looked at them with murderous look and deadly vibe surrounding him .
Ryan quickly put his sword on his back and brought his father's sword from his hip . Same did the other two , ready to attack if it comes to it.
Right in front of them the cute and fragile looking started to grow in size ,he got deformed lost his hairs .And grew into a 6 feet in length and 3 feet in high ,Not too much but enough ugly and big that anyone would shit themselves seeing him coming out of sewers .His body turned almost greyish blue and reptile like skin and almost 2 feet long whip like tail .His feet were also bulged up making him look very strong and deadly look .
"Rooooooaaaaaaar",He left a huge battle cry of some sort . While giving the same horrible vibe .
A blue body just blurred closing the gap between the three and him .Turns out he is extremely fast and agile as well . As the battle on the ground unfolded , a man in dark clothes has been watching them carefully, silently .

Far away Agent Jane's gauntlet started blinking .
"It's the kids the found the target .",said Agent Jane over the radio .
"Let's just hope we find them before things get ugly .",said Agent John.
"That's why I am here to protect those boys quickly let's get into Truck ."

At the centre , three kids are seen fighting . The dog puppy reptile thing decided to go after Cassie as the first target .He moved quickly and attacked ruthlessly . But she managed to somehow dodge every attack .He ferociously tried to bite her but yet again she dodged and stepped on his mouth then on his back as she beautifully dodged it.
Ryan couldn't let her fight with that monster alone ,so he yet again asked Impact to give him some power and assistance.He jumped right into action, but the dog-reptile caught them completely off guard as In an instant as the monster just spinned twice on the ground.After all spinning, Ryan was under his claw and Cassie was trapped by his tail .As he roared once again, this time in a low voice.
Rex still in horror watching from distance unable to move still .
"My name is ALPHA . You will die as you stepped in my territory .Aaaaghhhhppph."
