Chapter 32: 32
Qi Ah wasn't really sure what to do as he sat there, his mind blank. It took him a while to realize that Weizhi was really gone now. He wasn't sure why, but his mood slowly dropped down. Before he could reflect on the decrease in his mood, Qi Ah's made gave low cough, moving to the side of the carriage to get his attention. Blinking slowly, the youth shifted to the side, lifting the fabric out of the way to peer out. "Yes?" he asked, still a bit distracted by his own feelings. The maid didn't comment on his odd behavior, nor on the fact that Qi Ah's eyes seemed a bet moist and red. Instead she just lowered her head, responding as if nothing were wrong.
"We've arrived before palace. Due to the formalities, you'll be taken to the back side and sent into your residence. However, once the marriage is completed, you'll be taken in to the princes manor as a proper head wife." she stated while shifting so she could jester to the side door. Qi Ah's gaze moved from the girl, to the side door that had been opened, some steps being set up to the side as to allow Qi Ah a way off the carriage. "I see. Thank you." he stated as he dropped the curtain and moved to exit. As he headed into the palace, the youth shifted his gaze around, taking in the beauty that was around him.
Those that were escorting him stayed a few feet behind, keeping their thoughts to themselves as Qi Ah walked. Despite the long trip, the male seemed mostly fine with how things were. Thanks to Weizhi massages, his limbs were not stiff, and he was even able to walk some what. However, after walking for a few more minutes, he'd found his body growing tired as he glanced around to find his servant. Before he could call for Ah-Ning, Qi Ah felt an arm wrapping around his waist, lifting him off his feet. His eyes widen as a small gasp parted from his lips, his gaze turning to stare at the Prince who had appeared from no where.
Xiao gave a smirk as he effortlessly carried Qi Ah into his room, uncaring to the servants that rushed to assist him. "You should take better care of your health. Wouldn't want anything bad to happen before the wedding night after all." he stated, his tone some what frivolous. Qi Ah's cheeks darkened in embarrassment as he bit onto his lower lip, turning his gaze away. After being set down onto a stool within the room he'd be staying in, the youth once more looked at the prince, still some what confused. "Why did you choose me?" he asked, his tone soft. In the original story line, there was never a time that Xiao had given much thought to the poor hidden prince. He hadn't even cared much for his 'other' self that had pulled the strings to grant his wish to meet with the princess.
So why was it he was to marry the villain prince now? Xiao let out a low chuckle, his eyes darkening slightly. "Why wouldn't I want to marry a beauty? Besides, I don't lose out by marrying you." he stated as if it were mere fact. "I'll be heading to report in now. Be sure to rest up. Later on some Maids will come to begin preparing you for the wedding." he stated before heading out. Qi Ah was left dazed, staring at the males back as he left.
'Little one, please focus. Since the plot line has drifted off course, many things will happen. Despite the freedom given to the host, it will still cause complications of the story fails process the events.' The system finally stated, pulling Qi Ah from his thoughts. "I see. Okay, thank you." the male stated, his thoughts leaving the princes actions and turning back to the system. "I'm not really sure what to do however. Qi Ah never left his home before." he stated in a low tone, not wishing to be over heard. The system nodded, seeming just as worried.
"We'll deal with the implications as the arise. Just keep yourself safe." the system stated.
