Chapter 2: The Knight and Maestro John Pendragon
Growing up.
My father would tell tales of my ancestors and their knights.
The people know the stories better as King Arthur; and his knights of the round table.
But.
Throughout the years, my family has suffered, both in status and economically.
All we have left is our beloved Pendragon Castle, but even it has fallen to ruin.
It is now my duty, as both a knight and heir to the Arthurian legends, to save my family.
My name is John Pendragon, I am the Prince of Pendragon Castle, and I shall win the Chalice and have my desires fulfilled.
John was standing at the ruins of his family's castle.
John's scabbard and sword would be his command jewelry.
He was now ready, so he took some of his own
blood, and placed it on a Pendragon crest that was laid on the ground.
John then uttered the summoning chant;
" As you once fought for this family, so then, as now, I hereby, as your heir and Maestro, summon you, my ancestor as my attendant! "
The wind howled.
The moon glowed.
And the lake was pleased, as John had now successfully summoned his Attendant; Madoc Pendragon.
These informations now rushed into John's mind;
Attendant; Madoc Pendragon.
Weapon; D'Excalibur.
Limiters;
First limiter broken; he has access to his blessing of Archangel Gabriel.
Second limiter broken; he can summon forth Jacob; his knight.
Third limiter broken; he can use the Roar of the Dragon King; D'Excalibur's Ultimate.
" Attendant; Madoc Pendragon. I have come from the past, to aid the future, and I now ask; is thou worthy to command my sword? "
John gathered every bit of strength and courage he could muster, he then said;
" I am "
Madoc noticed the fire in his Maestro's eyes.
Madoc then smiled, and said;
" Very well "
John now took one of the gemstones from his scabbard.
" The first limiter is the most important, for if I break it, it means that a bond of respect and loyalty has been established " said John, as he held the gemstones towards Madoc.
The wind flew past their faces, and was a nice way to cool the intense moment.
Madoc took a deep breath.
He then kneeled, and said;
" My sword is yours, my Maestro "
John could feel the love and loyalty, and with that, he broke the first limiter.
Madoc now arose, and asked;
" Where to, my Maestro? "
" Please, just call me John "
" Very well " said Madoc with a giggle " Where to, Sir John? "
John just smiled, as he shook his head.
" The Chalice has appeared in Sweden, and that is where our quest lay "
Madoc nodded.
" Do we have a means of transportation, like a ship? Or a train? " asked Madoc.
John was taken aback by his words, but he then remembered that all Attendants gain their Maestro's knowledge of the current time.
" Sadly, I have no private ship, train or plane, so we have to make due with a public means of transportation, " said John.
Madoc simply smiled, as he said;
" Well, we could just use my ship "
" You have a ship?" As John had finished, he remembered Madoc's Gwennan Gorn.
" She will do nicely, " said John with a smile.
Madoc smiled as well, and then said;
" I shall bring us to Sweden in under three days time, and in the meantime, I wish to hear of my descendants history "
Maestro John and Attendant Madoc were now both on the Gwennan Gorn, and their destination is Sweden, where the Blessed Chalice Crusade shall take place.
