Chapter 9: The defective hero's preistess.

The conversation between Ethan and Aiko lingered in Aiko's mind for a while, but the interruption of the heroes being called to move into their respective rooms halted her thoughts.

Without further ado, they made their way to their assigned rooms, each to be shared with their respective priestesses.

As Ethan pushed open the door to his room, he couldn't help but feel awestruck by the grandeur of it all. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large red bed taking center stage. The window, pristine and unblemished, allowed natural light to stream in, highlighting the various decorative accessories that dotted the room.

"I shouldn't be surprised, it is a castle after all," Ethan murmured to himself, taking in the regal ambiance of his surroundings.

He walked around the room for a while and was surprised to find a door leading to the corridor. Curiosity getting the better of him, Ethan pushed the door open and stepped into the corridor. As he closed the door behind him, he was greeted by a breathtaking view of the entire kingdom stretching out before him.

The panorama was nothing short of spectacular, and Ethan felt his breath catch in his throat at the sheer beauty of it all. The view was enough to make him forget his worries and get lost in the splendor of the moment.

Suddenly, the sound of someone knocking on the door echoed inside the room.

"Hero...are you inside?" Gabi, Ethan's priestess, voiced, standing outside the door as she knocked.

She received no response, so she hesitantly opened the door and walked inside. Her eyes first darted around, taking in the luxurious space, before she walked over to the bed and sat down.

With her gaze fixed on the ground, Gabi's frustration was palpable. "What… the hell?" She muttered under her breath, her voice tinged with annoyance. "Why am I the one stuck with this defective hero as my charge?".

"I can't accept this… I won't accept it…" She trailed off, slamming her foot against the ground in frustration. "Why should I be the one with the false hero? I don't deserve any of these!" Her voice rose in anger, echoing off the walls. "Damn all of them!".

Ethan stood alone in the corridor, his attention drawn to the breathtaking view that unfolded before him. The vast expanse of the kingdom stretched out below him, the twinkling lights of the city contrasting against the dark sky.

As he took in the scenery, he could hear the muffled sound of Gabi's voice coming from inside the room. Despite the intensity of her frustration, Ethan remained unfazed and continued to gaze out at the mesmerizing view.

Meanwhile, inside the room, Gabi was still lost in her own thoughts, her frustration mounting with every passing moment. She paced back and forth, her mind consumed with thoughts of her role as the "defective hero's" priestess.

"I trained for years… I sacrificed so many things so I could be the hero's priestess when the time came…but now…" She muttered to herself, slamming her leg on the ground in frustration again. "It's all gone! Damn that guy!... Damn all of him!".

As several months elapsed, the heroes settled comfortably into the routine of their daily lives in the Nervora Kingdom. While they continued to hone their skills and put their abilities to the test, their names became well-known throughout the entire kingdom.

Each day, the heroes trained tirelessly, their efforts and dedication to their craft garnering them admiration and respect from the people they encountered.

With each passing day, their reputation grew, as did their confidence in their abilities as heroes.

However, two of them had risen above the rest in terms of popularity and recognition. The first was Aiko, the Sword Hero, whose skills with a blade were unmatched. She had become a symbol of strength and bravery, and the people looked up to her as a true hero.

The second was Salvani, the Scythe Hero, whose deadly precision and skill with his weapon had earned him a fearsome reputation among his enemies. He was known for his unwavering determination and handsome looks.

Together, these two heroes had become the most famous of them all, earning them the title, The Death Duo, and their deeds and accomplishments were celebrated far and wide throughout the kingdom.

One fateful night, Ethan was on his way back to his room after spending his whole day resting in the nearby forest.

He got to the front of his room and opened the door, As he approached his room, he noticed that the door was slightly ajar, and a sliver of light was emanating from within.

Cautiously, he pushed the door open and his eyes widened in shock at the sight before him. There, in the middle of his room, was Gabi, clad in nothing but her underwear. Her bra had been removed, revealing her full, perky breasts to his naked gaze.

"Why are you dressing in my room?" Ethan asked, his voice calm but firm as he walked into the room, closing the door behind him. He took a few steps towards the bed and sat down, looking directly at Gabi who was still standing in front of the changing boarp.

She had her arm around her boobs, her hair falling flat in her back while her butt and juicy thighs were exposed.

Gabi responded, "I'm sorry, Hero. I didn't mean to invade your privacy. I just needed a place to change," She said, attempting to keep her expression calm and collected.

Ethan nodded and made his way to the bed, covering himself with a blanket. "It's alright," he said, "Just remember to close the door when you're about to leave."

Gabi let out a sigh of relief and nodded in agreement. "Yes, Hero. I understand," she said before turning her attention back to the board.

'What the hell is he doing here... he's usually not this early.' Gabi's mind raced with panic as she tried to remain calm.

Her eyes darted towards the wardrobe, where she had earlier hidden a small blue bottle wrapped in a red fabric. She took a deep breath and tried to steady her nerves, not wanting to let Ethan see her in a state of panic.
