"What do I have to do!" I asked on bended knees.

"Their memories of you." spoke the creature. Bewildered, I looked at it with furrowed eyebrows.

"I am c-confused."

"Let me take their memories of you." Its voice dragged on like a chain that wants to wrap my neck and hang me to death.

I look at it with desperation, pleading for another option but its eyes were still the same. Pitch black and cold.

I gulped and looked back at them, they were struggling and if this goes on, I know that they'll die.

My gaze turned to him and a sad smile was drawn on my lips.

"If loving you leads to my demise, I'll gladly make my own coffin." I said before walking closer to the creature.

"Eat." An apple was given to me and with shaky hands, I took it from the calloused hands of the creature that was wearing a smile that could kill the light.

The sweet taste flooded my mouth and a familiar voice resonated in the air.

"Alex no!"

The sweetness started to disappear and bitterness took over, it was seeping throughout my body and the last thing I felt was the sharp fangs digging into my neck.
