Chapter 157: She Is Mine

As much as Skyla wanted to rush to Zyair and embrace him, to affirm no harm had come to him, she couldn't do it. This world wouldn't let her without assassinating her character which they were already doing.

This restlessness was coiling inside of her from the moment he said he had been attacked, she didn't know the extent of it but his life had been endangered like she had feared.

He curtly nodded at them, his wanton eyes lingered on Skyla for a fleeting second. So many emotions unfurled but he blinked and averted them, leaving as quickly as was possible. Not giving any more excuses to the opposition to drag her name.

"Lawrence, let me know what happened. You should go with Mr Zyair. I am worried," Skyla slowly whispered to the young boy. He nodded and traced the steps of his boss.
