Chapter 1: Chapter 1: princess of cybertron
The planet Cybertron was filled with life ruled by amazing beings as well as primes and Royals setting rules and boundaries for those below them to follow maintaining the peace making a safe place for the new generation to grow up in. The second in line of inheriting the throne, prince Plasma Storm if his twin sister doesn't find a suitable spark mate to rule over Cybertron with her before her next birthday or her father would be forced to chose one himself and he already had one in particular who would suit that role perfectly.
"Come on Aqua, we're going to be late!" Orion Pax begged carefully dragging the princess with him to watch the Megatronus the all mighty gladiator in action but despite hating violence she chose to go with him as no one else would for being a data clerk and a tiny mech compared to the other warriors that walk Cybertron.
"Okay, okay! You know we have another 10 minutes until it starts right?" She said reminding the eager mech that time was on their side as his smile and joy amused her as it too make her feel happy to see him so excited to see his idol in action.
"I know but earlier the better, now come on!" He said making her laughed at his adorableness despite being a tiny bit bigger than his for being a royal but doesn't posses the Matrix Of Loyalty yet until she finds a suitable king to sit by her side on the throne and guide her kingdom down a bright path.
"Alright, just done cross any wires Orion I'm already in another trouble with my father as it is" she said with a smile picking up the pace allowing them to get there just minutes before the match would begin grabbing their seats with an amazing view of the battle to the death unless someone begs for mercy or gives but I doubt that would let them live to fight another day. Despite being in the presence of random mechs she doesn't know being sat next to Orion gifted her with comfort and safety even though the clerk wasn't armed with any weapons or anything to defend himself other than his own bare fists but he wouldn't stand a chance again anymore let alone Megatronus. "It's impossible to say no to you if you continue to be this cute" she said making the little clerk lightly blushed blue at the compliment as it's a rare thing to be complimented by the ones who sit highly over everyone in their palace but this is something no one brings off as it's a sign of gratitude and possibly a bright interesting future, that's what the rumours say at least but don't believe every myth that slips out of anyone's mouth as it could be trap that could lead you done a very dark path.
"That's very generous but I believe that it's you whose the outstanding one here your highness, I'm just a normal data clerk but I truly am flattered" he replied still a little blue from her compliment or confession as he too managed to make her bit blue in return but she was able to shake it off to prevent any suspicion as her brother too is here to watch the gladiator in action.
"Oh scrap" she muttered instantly seeing her brother glaring over at where they were sitting making her grow nervous afraid that he would grass to their father about this encounter again and possibly forbid her from ever seeing Orion again. Just as Megatronus came out he looked up at them mainly at Aquarius with a smirk planning to entertain her with his skill and strength he's been given but little did he know what was actually on her mind. "My brother is here" she whispered to Orion who snapped out of his excited state instantly looking at her seeing how nervous she was knowing that this wasn't another one of her silly jokes.
"Wait, here?" He asked as she nodded before looking back up at the seats in front of them at the other side of the stadium noticing the big brother of hers as his paint was a elegant black and white colorisation making him stand out as royals must at all times look outstanding and different from the rest of their kind while Aquarius has a bit more colour being also black and white but she too has pink in her coat but she was voted to be one of the most attractive mech out of the whole family despite looking like her mother. "Does he know that we are just here to watch Megatronus?" He asked as she seemed confused not really knowing the answer of the question she had been given.
"We may be twins but I don't know my brother like my dad does so probably not" she responded truthfully as he sighed not happy about the situation. Aquarius didn't want to ruin the day they had planned and nudged the little mech to continue watching Megatronus in action forcing herself to watch too hating the sight of violence and sight of energon being wasted as they were sliced or possibly ripped apart by the gladiator.
"Just enjoy yourself, you deserve to have some time to yourself" she said putting her friend before herself like always, since she cares dearly about Orion and would do anything to keep him out of harm as she too is harmed but is currently being secretly trained by her mother as her father believes that princess' and queens should never be aloud to fight since it's always a warrior's job to protect their home.
"You sure? Your brother is a very aggressive mech" he said as she paused for a moment before using her hand grabbing his face turning it back into the arena where Megatronus was battling trying to impress her but she was more fixed about Orion than his bloody display of affection. After the fight was done Aquarius looked at Megatronus making eye contact as she stood up feeling his eyes all over her before walking off with Orion out of the stadium.
"Well, did you enjoy watching your idol in action?" She asked carefully nudging the little mech as he looked up at her seeing her the curious look in her eyes wanting to know what was on his mind.
"Of course but what about you?" He asked back leaving her in shock as she wasn't really wanting it due to how gruesome I got not really her type of thing to watch. "You did like it..right?" Orion picked up on Aquarius's suspicions behaviour and how silent she had become from a single question.
"How am I?! If my brother was looking down on us like that through all of it, I swear he has something wrong with him" she said mumble to herself at the end despite being confused lying to the poor mech just to keep him safe from harm. He shrugged his shoulders not taking any of this to mind believing her words as she was a royal after all and he's just a clerk.
"Wanna end the day with a drink? I'm sure it'll put your mind at ease about your brother" Orion offered which Aquarius kindly accepted wanting to be by this mech's side till the very end like she was everyday as he was the only one who understood her unlike her father however he's a mean old mech who doesn't understand his own daughter like his wife does. As it was beginning to get late Aquarius was intoxicated as she only had about less more drinks than her best friend did helping to escort him back home and let the alcohol wear off putting her at risk as she walked the streets on her own a little bit wobbly but everything was going according to plan.
"Next time I'm going to stuck to drinking juice, alcohol just isn't my thing anymore" she mumbled to herself hating the nauseous affect it had on her whenever she went out to drink with Orion being the only mech to not be fully intoxicated showing how responsible she was helping those in need of her assistance. Just as she took a turn being only 10 minutes from reaching the place someone in the shadows whistled at her but she ignored it and continued on walking until someone got in her way, a evil mech probably a thief of something showed up in front of her with an evil grin looking down at her almost being the same size of Megatronus but more dirty and less handsome.
"What is a beautiful little thing like you doing all alone out here? Shouldn't you have a bodyguard like your little sister, haha! Probably because you're more of a slut like your big juicy mama" he said ending it with a evil sinister laugh quickly rising up her anger meter as she too knows how take down a big mech like him in just two moves. Aquarius saw other mechs surround her in the darkness knowing that it was some sort of gang but she was slightly afraid of them as going against how many would use a lot of her energy to get back home.
"I would recommend that you move out of my way before you'll end up presenting yourself into a situation you cannot get yourself self out of without the help of your cowardly little minions" she replied standing her ground against the mech just like she was taught just incase her brother decides to challenge her for the throne. The mech growled at her in response of her cocky back chat as another set of footsteps began to make their way behind the big guy staying in the shadows until the right time presented itself to them.
"Say that again your brat! I dare you..unless you want me to rip out your spark in front of your very eyes" the mech said with a smirk not bluffing when it came to threats but does he know the deadly outcome of harming a royal? "Well? Answer me!" He yelled making her slightly flinch at the loud tone of his voice just because it reminded her of the king the supposed father of hers that would never listen or believe whenever her brother blames her for something she hasn't done within the palace's walls.
"I highly suggest you release her immediately" a deep voice spoke making the mech look behind him quickly recognising that voice as Megatronus came out from the shadows making the mech step back in fear not wanting to mess with someone who like this "before i rip out your spark before your very eyes myself" Megatronus threatened making them all flee like the cowards they are picking on the vulnerable whenever they see fit. As he grew closer to Aquarius gently smiling at her giving some closure that this mech was just a murdering gladiator be too was a good guy like some of the other mechs that walk on this planet.
"Thank you, but I really must be going now" as she was about to go thanking the mech for potentially saving her from those criminals he suddenly grabbed her wrist stopping her as she gulped nervously really not in the mood to talk to the guy at all.
"Wait!" He said before she looked at him and then down at his hand instantly making him release her as he knew the rules whenever it came to crossing paths with a royal. "Sorry but I was specifically ordered by your father to return back home as soon as possible, he had something he needs to tell you" he said as Aquarius had a bad gut feeling beginning to brew up inside of her stomach knowing that it wouldn't be something she'll end up hating because it's her father and she knows Jim's particularly well.
"Fine" she responded not wanting to resist as this mech here the gladiator would probably carry her to the palace if she showed any signs of wanting to flee and the quick reflexes he had she stood no chance. When they arrived at the palace Megatronus followed her all the inside to the throne room where the king sat impatiently waiting for his daughter to finally arrive and when she did he wasn't happy for the late notice.
"Took you long enough! What time do you call this Aquarius? You're way off your usual curfew" he said trying to sound like an actual protective father while in front of a well know gladiator not wanting to ruin the chances of whatever he had in mind for them. Aquarius sighed before walking a few steps forward so she could hear her father more even though he has a big loud mouth like her brother but she didn't want to stand next to Megatronus.
"Sorry father it won't happen again, what's is it that you wanted to tell me? It better not waste my time as I have a lot of things to do" she said as it is true she was a very busy woman when outside of the walls of the palace helping those who need it especially the poor which is the exact meaning of her last name suiting her perfectly while Plasma Storm was more of a selfish mech hardly doing anything nice just like their father.
"As we know that your birthday is coming up and you failed to find me a suitable spark mate in the time I kindly gave you to search for one coming in empty handed, so I chose one for you and he fits the qualifications perfectly" he said as Aquarius stood there shocked absolutely gob smacked not liking what she was hearing feeling her heart drop hating her father even more than ever.
"What!? But I'm too young to have a spark Nate dad" she said as he glared down at her silently shutting her up instantly with just his eyes. While this was happening the Queen was listening in on the situation not liking this at all as she too hated the gladiator as he reminded her of her selfish husband knowing that that mech will change for the worst if they do turn out to be compatible.
"Radius, I demand that you get me through with Aquarius's little friend please ASAP, or maybe grab him and bring the clerk to me into the meeting room and make sure no one interrupts us either" she demanded as the guard bowed before quickly doing as he was told and go get Orion and bring him straight to the Queen for something urgent. She felt guilty for leaving her oldest daughter in the throne room with her evil husband who never listens to anyone of them unless it's his son the only one he has.
"DON'T YOU DARE YELL AT ME!!" The king stood up from his throne making Megatronus step back as his voice could make even the dangerous of threats kneel down upon him but Aquarius she stood there shaken knowing what was about to come next if Megatronus is ordered to leave the palace.
"Sorry father.." Aquarius guiltily said fiddling with her fingers which was one of many mechanisms that help her cope with stress, anxiety and fear especially when it comes to her father as he never had respect for her due to how difficult it is to keep Aquarius under his control like her sister and mother even though they still do things secretly without his say in it. The king sat back down on his throne displeased at the way his daughter had spoken to him in such a dishonourable way in front of the gladiator he thought that he was about to miss the perfect opportunity to get the future king he truly desired. "You may be dismissed, I'll deal with that repulsive attitude of yours later I have a busy day ahead of me" he said shooing her off as she turned her back to him gritting her teeth irritated and yet heartbroken leaving the room with her head hanging low hiding her sorrow not making a single look at Megatronus who watched her walk by looking at her famine figure until the door closed behind her.
"Princess—" a guard popped out of nowhere frightening Aquarius who screamed in response getting another guards attention who came rushing over thinking that she was in distress.
"Oh, n-n-no, I'm fine everything is okay just go back to your post please" she said trying to hold back her emotions the best she can as the guard bowed without complaining and walked off back to his post before looking at the other guard quite seriously making him gulp in response.
"My apologies your highness but your mother urgently demands your presence" he said as Aquarius sighed giving up all together before she walked beside the guard who escorted her to the meeting room where the Queen would be waiting with some good news. Aquarius was reaching the end of her limits trying her best to not break down in front of the guard. When they reached the room the guard stood behind her as her hands began to shake against the wooden doors collecting all of the courage she can possibly get as she began to leak from her eyes trying to wipe them away as she entered into the room closing the doors behind her shaking before falling to the floor crying in front of her mother who looked at her little baby's back quickly going over getting down onto the floor instantly scooping Aquarius into a hug as she let out all of her sadness in the arms of someone who listens and cares.
"Shh..I'm here, everything's going to be alright my little moonlight" the Queen said comforting her oldest yet insecure daughter knowing that her youngest was currently out on a mission and wouldn't be back for quite a long time safe and out of reach.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but is everything alright?" Orion's voice was heard concerned on what had just happened not yet knowing the dark truth behind these palace walls. He walked over as the Queen stood up helping Aquarius up who was trying to get rid of her tears knowing that she is in the presence of a friend hating it when they see her in such a state bringing her disgust for letting him see her like this.
"I-I'm fine Orion, don't worry about me you've got way more important things to worry about" Aquarius said not seeing how worried Orion was actually being seeing her so upset like that as it was probably the first he ever saw her cry.
"You clearly aren't fine, you're very impressed to me and I refuse to let you push me away when you're in need of comfort no matter what happens I'll always be there for you" he said coming straight up to Aquarius not knowing fully why she was crying but he had an important job to do promising the Queen even if means risking his spark for her.
"He isn't lying my dear, you are in good hands and there's one more thing I have to give you" the Queen said kneeling down in front of her daughter opening her chest cavity revealing the Matrix Of Loyalty leaving the her absolutely speechless at what she was being presented with. "It's now your turn to lead Cybertron.." Aquarius watched as her mother took out the Matrix Of Loyalty from her chest presenting it to her own as the matrix automatically opened the new future Queen of Cybertron's chest cavity allowing them to see that beautiful blue glow they call a spark.
"But are you sure that I'm worthy enough?" Aquarius asked not confident enough to bring up the courage yet to face the responsibility even though she will be the new ruler when it's her mother's time to be one with the all spark. Orion watched in awe at a rare magical moment in action seeing his close friend being chosen as the next royal leader over the planet Cybertron which is a blessing to take witness of.
"The further shows that you my dear will become one heck of a Queen, and you'll find the love of your life on that journey so don't let anything take you down or tell you what to do and remind them who is the alpha" these words were inspirational for the Queen-in-waiting as Aquarius proved that she was worthy enough to rule this planet on her own mostly by how kind and understanding she is putting others before herself but sometimes it's best to put yourself before others when things get a bit too risky unless you're one of those ride and die friends who are there by your side til the very end. The two embraced possibly spending their last moment together before they part ways and continue on with their lives and talk another day whenever they get the chance.
"I'll make you proud mother" Aquarius stated refusing to be the bad apple of the bunch no matter how bad things get and always keep her head high even in the lows, just keep moving forward and a path will makes its way to guide you to that place you're meant to be.
"I know my little peace maker" they laughed as Aquarius looked at her friend Orion walking up to him before pulling him into a big hug feeling him quickly hug her back in return. "I didn't know that tiny mechs could love tall woman..you've got some interesting taste Pax" the Queen lastly said before leaving the room allowing them to chat alone for a little while as guards prevented anyone from entering until what is done is done.
"Your hugs are always the best, they're filled with warmth and comfort, I bet you'll become and fine mech one day Orion" Aquarius stated surprising the mech as they separated but only inches apart from one another with hands on either others shoulders looking into their eyes not realising what was happening. She saw how blue Orion was becoming which too made her blush in response seeing how close they were.
"I'm speachless..I-I don't know what to say" he said rubbing the back of his neck also seeing Aquarius blushing too as he gulped nervously knowing that he must take the chance or he'll never get an opportunity like this ever again. As they blushed staring at one another Orion began to lean forward making Aquarius move too until they were only inches apart from kissing until the door slammed open instantly separating them as they saw Plasma Storm looking at both of them seeing the shock and blush on their faces.
"We're you two just about to kiss or something?" He asked pointing his finger at us making Orion gulp in response afraid to speak a single word of he would have his spark ripped out for definite.
"Ohhhh. You got it all wrong we were just…hugging! Yeah hugging mum told us to hug and make up. You can even go ask her if you want?" Aquarius said lying to her brother as he squinted his eyes at them getting a bit suspicious and how nervous Orion was.
"Why didn't you tell me? Man and here I thought you two were actually a thing! Cute couple not gonna lie. Anyway just wanted to check on ya but is see that you're fine so imma go now" Plasmus was acting kinda strange and awkward too closing the door behind leaving the two mech to sigh with relief not being caught in action but what happened to the privacy in this place!
"That was close wasn't it Orion" Aquarius said but she heard nothing before looking over seeing the poor mech upset about something which made her feel a bit guilty. "Orion?" she said again as he lightly huffed until something popped in her head that she hopes would kinda change his mood. "I want to reward you for something! It may not be great like a weapon or something but I think you deserve it" she said before kissing the mech on the cheek but as she pulled back he grabbed her chest pulling her into a full on lip-on-lip kiss as she gave in loving this mech a lot of course always dreaming of a moment like this to happen and she got it, but little did they know that they were being spied on so whatever that mech was seeing they were probably transferring it over to the main leader…the King himself.
