Chapter 2: A Blessing Or a Curse?

The place was similar to the house that Rias had built as a replacement home for issei in the original cannon. The biggest differences were the several computer setups similar to office buildings but with computer setups that looked like they were from the far future of worlds like sao or cyberpunk.

The second floor held a large amount of bedrooms, the first had a giant kitchen/living room. In the basement held the room where I would be creating my golems. It had a forge for blacksmithing, a lab for alchemy, and held several magic circles that I assume contain the abilities I would utilize from leaking out. There was also a secondary forge, which I might as well create a golem for.

What Type Of Golem Would You Like to create?

A blacksmith that can make any weapon, or armor given enough time. Also gain strength with each item they create, and have basic cooking skills.

Initializing… Grand Smith Golem Recipe has been created. Limited to Two uses.

Custom Golem uses have been used up. Good Luck.

Not surprising that it's limited, I'm glad that I can create more than one though. However the smith cannot create anything related to golems, homunculi, androids, or anything similar. That's cool though, that's what I'm here for. With that said, I rolled up the sleeves of my hoodie, and got to work. The main material I had to work with was iron and something called crimson steel. It's as magically conductive as adamantium, but not as durable. It didn't matter what my golems started out at though since they would get stronger.

It took several hours but I finished up the rabbits first, before moving onto the two humanoid golems. I couldn't make homunculi just yet, but I could still make them humanoid. I may or may not have created them in the image of my favorite fate sabers Nero and Artorius. I changed up their proportions a tad and they had silver hair instead, but for the most part, they looked very similar. Paint is a very useful thing when used in tandem with magic. The great thing about my golems is, even if I create them for a specific purpose, the humanoid ones can learn more outside of that.

Before I inputted their 'souls' into them, I sent out the rabbits into the world to look for the supernatural, and to gather resources. I had full control of my dimension, and it was outside some barren land on an unmarked island. Good thing I gave the rabbits the ability to fly. Once that was taken care of, I went back to the basement, and inputted souls into the two of them.

??? POV

One moment, I didn't feel or know anything. Next, I was brought into this world with a large amount of knowledge and very little at the same time. I opened my eyes feeling the heat from the flames of a forge, and the coolness of the wind from magic. In front of me is a being I can only see as my creator and father.

"Welcome to the world of the living. You two are sisters and will be joining me in my newly created faction. Of course, I'm sure you were already given knowledge of this world, so I won't bore you the details. Your names are Jess and Jane. You will work together to create weapons and armor for other golems as I create them. For now there isn't much to do as I sent out scouts to explore the world at large. I will be heading to my office to connect them to my computer. I need you two to take up cooking duties for now until I find someone in this world who I can make a golem for cooking based on.

Before that though, feel free to explore the mansion. The outside isn't really much except an endless grassland. Alright, that's all from me, if you have any questions, feel free to ask at lunch, or after I finish setting up in my office."

After our Father finished his speech, he walked upstairs. Jess looked around the smaller smithy we would be working in for the foreseeable future. I decided to head upstairs and see what we were working with in the kitchen. Our creator bestowed upon me a small amount of cooking skills so it wouldn't be up to standard, but it will have to do. Hopefully with both of us working together, we could create satisfactory food for them.

Mark POV

I was quite tired after that, but I dragged my tired body up to the office next to my bedroom, and utilized my unique magic to connect the vision of the six rabbits I made to six different monitors. On my other computer setup on the side, it had three monitors, so I connected two of them to Jess and Jane, but closed out of it for now since they were within the dimension. It was for on the off chance that they went outside.

I leaned back in my chair and booted up FFX, however this version was different since I was playing from the perspective of some guy named Yole. Apparently they were an otherworlder as well and decided to make their new life in FFX into a game. I had a copy of the original as well, but I was more interested in this, since it's based on real events. I played the game for an hour before there was a knock on my door. I picked up my phone so I can get a notification if the rabbits discovered anything, and opened the door.

"Lunch has been prepared Father. We decided to go with brunch since you haven't eaten anything yet. French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and tangerines." I walked and talked with Jess as she described what we would be eating, and yes the golems can eat, they don't have to, but why would I take the joy of food from them. We reached the kitchen and sat at one of the smaller tables. The two of them sat with me, but opposite of me.

The food itself is not the best, but it was still pretty damn good. However, I do believe that the two of them want some form of criticism on the food so I will give it to them.

"The food is pretty good. If I had to say one thing, the eggs are a bit too runny for my taste. That's it honestly." Jane's right eyebrow twitched a bit, but she still breathed a sigh of relief. The two of them probably expected me to say more. Midway through eating, my phone got a notification. I projected the vision of the rabbit onto a projector in the living room and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"There is just no way. How in the hell did one of my rabbits spot the leader of the freaking fallen angels? In his office no less? At least he doesn't seem to be trying to dissect it. Is he looking at it, in fear?"

Rabbit 4 POV

The Creator has tasked me and my brethren with finding and observing the supernatural, while also gathering resources. I saw an interesting looking portal. It didn't matter where we went since I could go to Father at any time. When I entered through it I noticed a large building surrounded by what I assume would be fallen angels based on the black wings. I infiltrated the facility and looked for the leader of them all. From the knowledge I have, I am looking for Azazel, and his hair and looks are quite unique among the fallen.

I reached the top floor undetected and discovered his office. There was a large amount of documents all over the place and the man himself didn't notice me right away, seemingly very tired. I looked over and recorded the documents secretly, before staying in a corner of the room and watching him go about his day.

"Strange, I feel something weird. Not quite magic, but something else." Azazel looked around the room for a while before finally spotting me, and his change in expression from surprise to fear put a feral smile on my face.

"I thought they were asleep. Did the preparations for war wake them up? Why send one here? What do they want?" Azazel was having a mini existential crisis while I received a message from Father.

"Based on Azazel's reaction, my legend must be something fearsome. Point towards the exit and explore the facility. Disappear from the sight of everyone else since he is able to detect you but nobody else can. Find a two winged fallen, and observe them until I can create fallen golems." As The Creator gave their order, I did as he said, and Azazel jumped in reaction to what I did.

3rd Person POV

"At least the Winged Rabbits of the Golem race are harmless for the most part. I don't want to remember the last time one of my brethren decided they wanted to kill one." Azazel shivered as he followed the rabbit and put off the rest of his paperwork for now. The war was put on the backburner for now since this was a bigger issue to solve. As I walked out of my office and followed the rabbit around, several of my fellow Fallen bowed to me or were giving me bedroom eyes. Some were worried about the upcoming war, but it's inevitable at this point.

They also didn't notice the rabbit walking in front of me, so it seemed like it was hiding its presence from all but him. He was fairly certain that it was messing with him, since the only reason he noticed it was because it probably let him. They were very mischievous creatures and loved to mess with the ones they observed. It's their creator that is a mystery. Not much is known about The Golem King, other than them being the god of golems.

Azazel POV

Because of them, Golems were considered a different race entirely, and anyone that tried to create something similar were only able to create what is known as constructs. Poor imitations of people trying to do what their god has done. I wouldn't put it behind them if they somehow made a restriction that prevented anyone else from making golems. I fear the day that homunculi come back into the world. Hopefully it won't happen anytime soon. None of us were ready for that.

Eventually the rabbit stopped and jumped onto the head of a more recently fallen angel, Mishala. There had to be something special about her that attracted the rabbit's attention. She still didn't notice it, even when it was sitting on top of her head. She did look nervous once she noticed I was staring at her. I waved her off and headed back to my office. Once the rabbit has settled, they will stick for a while before moving on. There was nothing I could do about it. If I tried to capture one, they would just teleport home.

I will have to put her name in a file, and have her trained properly. I also need to keep her alive through this war, and debrief her on The Golem King.

Mark POV

Rabbit #4 managed to copy all of the Fallen's documents and download them to my servers which is good. I also decided to move to my office and observe the fallen Mishala. I would have a recipe to create Fallen Angel golems after using the skill for a full 12 hours. At least I no longer need to sleep, I still will from time to time since I enjoy sleeping. Four of the other rabbits managed to gather a large amount of wood and metal for Jess and Jane to mess with.

Rabbit#6 found a lone human magician healing themselves from an injury in a cave. My rabbit revealed itself and he seemed to recognize it, or at least, it's golden eyes.

"A rabbit with golden eyes, is this a blessing or a curse?" The mage chuckled a bit as he uttered that question. My rabbit just shrugged and jumped on his head. To his credit, he didn't show an ounce of fear. At least this will allow me to create a magician golem. The versatility of them would be great, even if they would be using the magic system created by Merlin. With this, I could create golems that can use Merlin's magic system, and the magic of Fallen Angels. I still needed to gather books on human magic, or maybe the company store has books I can buy.
