Chapter 3: 2-Knowing Rose
ITSUKI TAKAHASHI
Another game, another win.
My varsity went against another school. We were having a good time, taking our time and scoring as much as we can. The girls who were watching were cheering for me as I shoot, but I felt that something is missing in me. I don't know, but someone's sweet voice wpuld be enough to complete my day.
HARUKA HABARI
Well, it seemed that the Math competition would be easy for me.
The teachers knew how smart I am when it comes to solving certain problems and equations. So they asked me to compete in an event which consists of many other schools. It was my first time joining such, But I'll be doing my best. I stayed up until 5'o clock to review what I might need to do for the competition, and I heard footsteps outside.
ITSUKI TAKAHASHI
It was a long day, and we finally returned to school campus. I showered for a while and then changed to fresh cloths in the boys' locker, then went to the library. I go there regularly to read for a while. As I saw Haru, my heart skipped a beat, again. I shook my head before turning to get a book. I sat beside her, constantly peeking at what seemed to be mathematics reviewers. I see, she is also smart. Maybe, she will be competing.
Anyways, enough thoughts. I took all my courage and finally said, "Hey Haru." She had turned to me, looking at me dead in the eye and responded, "Takahashi." It was unusual, but even though she looks at me like that, it feels like I am in Wonderland with her.
Haruka Habari
I witnessed the way he sat beside me. He seemed nervous. I know what he feels. And I don't want it. He'll be just like the others. I talked to him, though, making sure that he won't start to panic in front of me.
An hour had passed, and I am ready to go. "Goodbye, Takahashi." I said, before walking away. Maybe, just maybe, I would be his friend. He had the same interests as mine, and it might be fun if we do it together.
Maybe, I would just open up to a man like him.
