Chapter 1: The new 'house'
"Maria wake up what are you doing ?!"
Maria woke up so suddenly she startled her mother . Her mother had been looking for her for quite some time now. she found her wrapped in an old curtain peacefully dozing off in the corner of a room. She was supposed to be arranging her new room but she clearly wasn't interested in doing that . This place was nothing like their previous place in the suburbs of California , San Diego. It was a huge duplex with the best interiors of the world , but now she was stuck in an old double storey house at the outskirts of California. This was nothing in comparison to her life earlier , with more than a dozen friends , best school and an awesome neighborhood . Now, absolutely rubbish neighborhood and a weird school. She knew nearly no one there except Anna , their neighbour , she was 16 nearly same as Maria who was 17.
If only this much despair was not enough their house was considered to be haunted by the locals . More than 10 years ago the villagers had heard a terrifying shriek of a woman at midnight. This terrified the locals hence they made a huge wall like fence around the house which Maria's father had very much trouble to replace by a normal fence. Ever since the fence was replaced the house seemed less of a haunted house and more like a prison for Maria . That's when she realised that this was her new 'House' and would never be her home sweet home In the near future.
She didn't like that place so she was not eager to set her room. Everytime she went outside which she did quite rarely she would hear comments like , "look there , she lives in that haunted house." She was tired of that so she went outside only if it was extremely necessary . For last 2 weeks their things were coming from huge trucks and just yesterday Maria's things had come , she was too lazy so she slept in her parents' room that night and in the corner at afternoon .
