Chapter 9: Chapter 6 Arranged Marriages?

As Alexia was lost in thought she suddenly remembered why she called Claude.
"My son as you may have known several noble families and even royals have been trying to get closer relations with you." Claude nods and listens intently to his mother the queen of the Clover kingdom's words.
"As a crown prince, it's very important to choose the proper people to be acquainted with to aid you in the future." Alexia continues with her cheerful motherly tired tone now replaced by a serious motherly tone.
"That's why as queen and a mother it's also my responsibility to guide my son to the right path to ensure the next ruler of the Clover Kingdom will be great," Alexia says as he gestures for her son to sit on the chair.
Sitting down Claude then began to get tense as he listened to his mother's words he could only think one word when this conversation gonna go 'Marriage'.
"I think it's time for you to choose a proper noble lady to be engaged to".Alexia said putting her hand on her son's shoulder.
Claude began to ponder his next words for this conversation one wrong word could lead him to be betrothed to a girl he didn't want, and the other part of him saying he should exploit this situation.
If Claude truly exploits this situation then he could just ask his mother the queen to marry off a bunch of the female characters he likes from the show like Mimosa, Noelle, Dorothy and Charlotte Heck even that one episode where there is a red-haired lady that owns a restaurant that mixer with finral but he doubts she approved on the last one.
So he decided to risk it and just ask.
"Mother will you allow me to marry multiple ladies, I heard some male monarchs have a so-called harem where you have multiple wives or concubines," Claude says stopping in a split-second at the word 'harem' his mother's jewel-like eyes darkened making him regret ever saying that word.
For Claude, a king that he wants to be, doesn't marry a woman because his beautiful he needs a woman who can stand with him in future events.
"Mo mother Listen I am sorry for bringing that up, you see I'm just really curious if you allow me to do the same." Claude was lost for words he began to stutter the darkened azure jewel-like eyes of his mother suddenly shone as bright as a star as the Eyes of Mana were activated as if they began its judgement on him.
"Claude I see what you're trying to ask, but how bold of you to even ask a harem even though your father doesn't have one, well that's because he's obsessed with me," Alexia mutters the last part although Claude can still hear it.
With Alexia's mind processing going fast as she activated the Eyes Of Mana, she decided that it would not be a problem if her son had multiple wives as long as he kept them happy and treated them fairly.
"As for the answer yes I allowed you, but you will need to keep a promise that you will treat them fairly and make sure they are happy," Alexia says closing her eyes and opening them again as she uses a spell to keep her brain fresh for the over information given by the activated Eyes of Mana.
Claude was shocked at the answer he got as his eyes widened, and then he almost grinned just like a certain menace in the anime where there were curses and sorcerers to fight them on, luckily he managed to keep himself from doing that.
"Even if you're too young for this matter I ask you already so that we can prevent your father from deciding for himself, I'm sure that he will choose the daughter of a random high-ranking noble who manages to fool him," Alexia says as she then decides to deactivate the Magic Eyes 'Eyes of Mana' her Azure cosmic eyes that shone like a star returns to its normal state as her eyes turn jewel-like azure eyes.
"You should eat and rest now my son, I already asked Chloé to go and ask the chefs to prepare some food for you." Claude then nods and bows before leaving.
He then leaves and sees Sebas waiting outside the door he glances at Sebas and Sebas opens a portal to the dining room of the palace.

The dining room was filled with chandeliers, lights and walls made out of unknown magical materials. Fancy long table and chairs.

Claude then sat on his chair and ate noble-like. He was sitting and eating alone chloé was at his side standing acting like a proper maid.
"Chloé come take a sit let's eat together," Claude said using his eyes he then controlled the mana around a chair to make it hover next to him a simple trick 'controlling an object' any mage can do whatever magic attribute a mage has.
A/N* I once saw a clip on black clover of a cook making the cooking equipment move to itself If I remember it correctly that cook has a fire attribute. (I forgot you can find it for yourself.) It's just like earth bending where they control metal idk tbh that's a weird comparison
Chloé looked hesitant at first, but he quickly nods and sits.
Claude then looks finished and moves the plate in front of Chloé, the leftovers were a lot chloé looked baffled at first but understood what clause 'meant'.
"Eat it, I know it's a lot but I'm sure you will be able to finish some of it." Chloé then nodded and began eating.
Claude observed every detail of chloé while she ate, from her lips, eyes, mouth, hair her whole body. Claude then was in awe looking at her.
Chloé while eating happily notices the gaze of the charming crown prince, he looks at her like an alchemy looking at the drop of his potion. Chloé then gathered the courage to ask the crown prince why is he looking at her like that.
"I apologize for my concern my lord, but why are you looking at me like that," Chloé asked as she tilted her head cutely.
Breaking Claude's gaze he then takes a quick breath and sighs.
"Chloé you were once a noble right? what are your thoughts on arranged marriages?" clause asks the beautiful 12-year-old maid a question.
"My thoughts on arranged marriages? My lord, I think they are important to ensure the noble families' future but sometimes there were noble children of the noble families who opposed the decision but they could not do anything just to follow their noble parents." Chloé answers like a proper noble lady.
Claude then asks another question.
"What would you do if I decided to marry you Chloé."
