I was on my way back to the hotel where I reserved a room. I never stayed in one place for too long. Not when cursed spirits tend to threaten the human world now more than ever. Not when humans need me.
It's been nearly a year since I left Tokyo, traveling and exorcising curses.
"I am so tired. I need a really good night sleep. I spent a bit too much energy."
I exorcised another curse tonight. This time a hospital was attacked, a few humans were injured, but not badly. Last week it was a school, the week before it was a jail. And so on, schools, hospitals, cemeteries, jails, sometimes even in places like churches.
People need to get their shit together. They need to control their emotions. Emotions are what destroys us.
Curses, are born and get powerful by people's hatred and negative feelings.
I felt the cold rain falling upon me, cooling my body. The cold sensation, made my body shiver, and goosebumps formed on my skin in order to keep me warm. My clothes are soaked and yet somehow I feel refreshed.
"That fucker was huge and powerful, took me a good five minutes. Next time I need to be faster, or someone will get killed."
The sky is dark, wearing its gray clouds. Here and there thunders clashed loudly, the lightning bolts coloring the sky in magnificent gloomy hues. I love this weather, but not when I work. It is hard for me, because it puts me in a calm state.
I need rage when I fight. I need to feel it in every single bone of my body.
I looked up land let the rain fall on my face, I felt like it washed my tiredness and sins. The damn rain feels too good, thunders sounds like a macabre song and i feel relaxed ... that ... until my phone rang.
"Damn it. Why now? Why? Who would call right now, at this exact moment of my only time when I get to feel peaceful?"
I took my phone out of my pocket and I looked upon the lighted screen.
"Great! Just great!"
I pressed the green button, putting the phone to my ear. I heard a goofy voice at the end of the other phone line.
"Y / n-chaaaaan! How are you? I miss you! When are you coming back?" His loud excited voice hits my hearing sense and I could swear I've gone deaf.
"Satoru? For the love of God did you put some kind of device on me? You always call after I end a damn mission."
"Oh, don't be like that, little one. I called you because I miss my little sister."
"Satoru, I'm only one year younger than you and we're not real siblings. Get over it."
"Yes we are shut up, stop hurting your brother's feelings!"
He's always this noisy. Ever since his parents took me in, he was like that. Noisy, goofy and now as an adult, a bit more arrogant. No,no arrogant, he always contradicts me. He always says he's not arrogant, that he's just cool...a nice guy.
"So, what do you want this time?"
"You know a few months ago, when I told you about my new student, Yuji? Itadori Yuji." His voice drops in a more serious tone. Satoru is not like that, unless, it is important and now, I feel like it is very important.
"Mmm, yes I remember something. Sukuna's vessel right?"
"Yes, that one."
"Okay, what about him?"
"I might need your help Y/n, like in maximum two days i want you here. And it's kind of urgent.
"Oh, I didn't expect that." I say truly surprised. He only needs me, when shit gets really nasty. "Then,i guess I'll be on my way. Don't tell Megumi, I'm coming. I want surprise him."
"Okay! Y/n? Just please, come quick please. "
"Alright, alright, see you soon brother!"
The call ends abruptly. He was sounding pretty desperate. He's never desperate. I need to rush back home. If he needs my help out of all people, means that the situation is a shitty one. Really shitty one.
"Itadori Yuji the vessel of Ryomen Sukuna, the king of all curses."
I feel like something is about to come. Something big.
