Dimitri raised his hands in the air and then motioned for everyone to sit. All the while, Gabby was watching Blanca from her seat on the other side, looking positively amused.

She could hear the whispers in the room. The conversations were divided between shock over where she was sitting and excitement over Dimitri's promotion. A trio of female she-wolf warriors at a nearby table stared at him in wonder. From the long, leisurely looks they were casting down the length of his body, she bet they were picturing him naked. She met their eyes with a wide smile and stroked her hand across Dimitri's.

Mine, she broadcast silently to them.

The women hastily looked away. Dimitri captured her hand in his. He'd obviously liked her show of outright, territorial force. Such were the ways of the supernatural.

"You two are creating quite a stir," Dimitri commented. "Everyone is staring at you."

She smirked at him. "They are just admiring Dimitri's power."
