Chapter 8: Finally We Meet
At 7 am
Alexa gets up by the alarm time and check the time in her phone. "Oh gosh! It's 7 already, I need to hurry up".
She quickly takes the bath and start selecting the dress for the first meet with the Mr. Reo. "This should be fine, Alexa picks up a blue and white combination long gown for the meeting and sits in front of the dressing table. Completes her makeup in time and looks up at her phone. "I still have 15 minutes, let me grab something. She checks everything, picks up her bag and the file, locks her room and head towards the hotel dining hall.
She grabs a seat and places all the things on the table and rushes back to the food counter to get something for breakfast. She returns to her table with couple of food items in her plate and starts eating the food in a hurry. She was busy eating her food when gets a message on her phone from Mr. Xiao stating "Miss Alexa...Driver is at the entrance, head towards the car once you are ready...No hurry". She replies him back "Thank you and will be there in few minutes."
Alexa gets up and takes the things from the table and leaves for the entrance. She sits in the car and ask the driver to start the car. She was excited for the first meeting but at the same time was worried of meeting the person named Mr. Reo due to the past rumors about him.
It's been said that he is very secretive and weird in nature. One can see him in a concert and any function only till the time he is needed and will walk out once the concert or function is done without giving much time to anyone to get along with him. He is not married but rumored to be a single father. People say that he had the kid from his rumored girlfriend, they are still in good terms with one another but no looking for marriage and have ended their relationship in good terms after the birth of the kid. He cares a lot about his son and takes him everywhere he is performing and don't leave him for a single second, apart from the time his son is in school. His kid is four year old and goes to pre-nursery.
"Mam, we have reached." Alexa was pulled out of her thoughts by the driver words.
She gets out of the car and walks inside the studio.
Alexa walks towards the reception and inquire's about Mr. Xiao.
"Hello, you must be Miss Alexa..." She turns to the man voice coming from behind her.
She nodes on the comments and replies "Yes, and you are....???"
"Sorry, I must have introduce myself first. I am Xiao, Mr. Reo's assistance. He is waiting for you in his office. Please follow me."
Alexa starts walking behind him.
Xiao knows the door and walks in and Alexa follows him.
She sees a man wearing a nice black tux standing next to the window.
"Sir...Miss Alexa is here..." Mr. Xiao walks out of the room after informing Reo about her arrival.
"Hello...I am Alexa, representative from Xia Music Academy." Alexa speaks in low sweet voice and stretches her hand for a handshake.
"Have a seat, I have loads to discuss with you. I am quite disappointed that Mr. Xia has send a band member and not any of his management people for the collaboration work. I am unsure if you are the correct person to be worked with."
Alexa gets surprised with Reo's cold behavior and rude words. Moreover gets disappointed as he didn't even returned her handshake. She grabs the seat and speak out, this time a bit louder from before and with more confidence.
"I am sorry Mr. Reo for the disappointment caused to you, our management team was quite busy with our concert arrangements and thus I, who is also the Band head had to land up here for the arrangements before the concert. But please be rest assured, I will not disappoint you. I have done this work in past and will be able to handle it quite well.
"Let's see, how it goes." Reo places the file in front of Alexa while speaking out again in a cold voice.
"These are the things which needs to be taken up before the concert and your team need to perform the dance along with me. We have decided to have the concert with your company and would be performing together on stage, so your band need to dance on my songs and I will do the same for your songs. Thus you need to give me the recording of all the songs which will be performed by your band and come for the practice as well. You can teach your band members with the steps once they are here." Is this OK?
"Yeah it's fine. Then can I leave for the day or is there anything else you need to discuss with me???"
"You need to visit the concert location after this, Xiao will help with the same and meet Sasha there who is the choreographer helping us with the dance steps for all the songs. You may leave now."
Alexa gets up and walks out of the cabin and grabs a breathe after closing the door behind. "My goodness, he is so weird."
She walks towards Mr. Xiao who was standing the opposite side of the corridor.
"Mr. Xiao, can you please take me to the concert location."
"Sure Miss, this way please."
Reo's POV.
"Sir, Miss. Alexa is on the way to the studio." Mr. Xiao informs Reo while placing the file on his desk.
"These are today's appointment."
"Xiao, let me know once she is here and personally attend her. I want you to get her straight in my office once she is in. And later take her personally to the concert location. Mind you again, do not leave her for a second and report me back with all the details. You may leave now."
"Sure Sir..."
Reo was fuming with anger from last night when he was informed by Xiao about Alexa having dinner with Chen and they both were enjoying each other's company. He was quite shocked with his behavior as he left interest in girls from the time Zoe came in his life. Zoe is his son's name and the only one he treasures the most.
He tries to calm himself for his first meet with Alexa. But the moment she walks in, he gets reminded of the last night and gets into the angry mode again.
While speaking with her he tried multiple times to get back to normal with no luck.
The moment Alexa walks out of the room, he grabs the seat and relax. He breathes heavily as if he was holding his breathe for a longer time.
"I need to distance myself from this girl, she is making my mind messed up." He speaks to himself while grabbing the glass of water placed on the table.
