Chapter 2: The Escape
When the greatest change happened in the world a lot of people are starting to cultivate the powers they had obtained. They want it to stabilize, but the realms are just starting to bud they can only train themselves on their own. The Great Powers have the access to a lot of cultivation books which they collect from the ancient records and books they have inherited long ago. That's why they can stand to the peak of the realms unhindered because of their control of these things. They also have a lot of treasures that are priceless, even if auctioned to the Great Powers themselves; the only way to trade was to trade a same priceless treasure.
The Golden Circle Realm, one of the seven realms in the Linked Realms. This realm is especially rich in Metal spiritual element. Three of the Great Powers reside in this realm. The Heavens Anvil, Tech-Engineering Corp and the Leader of the Two Great Power called Kingdom of the Iron Fortress. The three of the Great Powers choose to conquer this realm since this three of the Great Powers specializes in metal refining and engineering, their profession can be called blacksmiths and engineers.
Inside the castle of the Kingdom of the Iron Fortress, a middle age man was talking to someone in secret. "Little bro you should have left that thing to that place and shouldn't bring it here, it can attract calamity to us." the person talking to the middle age man said.
"Yes! I know it's my fault to bring this disaster among us." The middle age man sighed as he looked at the curtains being blown by the wind. "But can't you feel big brother that something is eerie about this weapon. Yes, I admit that this is truly a high-level weapon but the group attacking us doesn't head in conversation. I can willingly give this to them instead they act brutally. They're like wanting me to be gone to this realm." The sigh of the middle age man seems heavier than before.
"You're thinking too much little bro. We don't have enough evidence as to whom or what power is scheming at you." The other person said.
"I know I'm thinking too much, but do you remember those organizations that are still hiding in the dark and not showing their selves. I think they are now moving. My guess is that they wanted to control all factions of the realm." The middle age man stated.
"So you're thinking that they aimed to control the factions so that they can revolt to us the Leader of the factions and rule this realm. Am I right little bro?" The other person asked.
"Exactly, that's what I'm implying. I don't want you and my family to be dragged to danger by me, so I'm asking you big brother Eric protect your nephew and my wife your little sister." The middle age man said.
"I can protect them, except they needed to be far from you. You must abandon them. I will handle the news regarding the reason why you left. What do you say Roland?" asked Eric.
"I guess that is the only way. To focus the problem to me, in order to not drag my family into this mess. Big brother thought this well, I'll follow big brothers plan. But also be careful around you big brother, the spear you're holding might be the one who is holding your life." Roland stated in a serious manner.
"I'll remember it little bro." said Eric.
Roland sighed with relief, just like a needle being removed to his heart. He stood and patted his big brother's shoulder. He went outside the castle and went to his vehicle. Eric went to send him off. Roland waves his hand, after saying his goodbyes to his big brother he drives to the Tech-Engineering Group.
He trusted this big brother of his. They are childhood friends, both their families are also partners of their factions even before the rise of the Linked Realms. A long time passed, they considered their families being one.
Roland arrived in the Tech-Engineering Group at dawn. The Tech-Engineering Group is massive. It is bigger than two cities combined. They owned three mountains rich in Metal spiritual element. At this mountains stands structure with different way of operations, there are for making technologies and machines to be sold for the Union Market, the second teaches the citizens to control their Spirit Forms power, while the other is responsible for research purposes in finding ways of improving the technologies, machines, and the cultivation techniques used by its citizens. Because of this, they were able to maintain to the top, being part of the Great Powers.
Roland's vehicle traveled through the Tech-Engineering Group's main headquarter. The main headquarter size is like a mountain, high and huge. Roland entered the main headquarter and then went directly towards the elevator, heading to the top floor of the main headquarter where his apartment can be located.
Being the Head of the Tech-Engineering Group, Roland's apartment space is wide. It has its own cultivating room that feels like you are cultivating inside the three mountains of Tech-Engineering Group. The rooms were sound proof and shockproof wall preventing the disturbance of one's cultivation, battle simulation space where they can train their technique and a lot of facilities Roland may use in making his inventions and forging his weapon.
When he arrived in his apartment, he headed to his wife's room. His wife's name is Lehra, daughter of the royal family and sister of the current king, King Eric Mettle. He explained to his wife what disaster is coming for him and that he needed to abandon his own family for their own safety. Lehra was shocked by this. She did not expect this outcome. After their conversation, Roland hugged his wife and went to his son's room.
Holding a necklace, Roland waked his son up. His son was still drowsy, but he did not mind. For him, his child is the greatest treasure he had. He placed the necklace on his son's neck and locked it, he then whispered some words to his son and kissed his son's forehead. After doing all of this he said to Lehra. "You bring our son to big brother's castle. Both of you stay there, big brother will protect you from harm." Lehra nodded her head without saying anything. You can see her getting eyes red. She suppressed her sadness and prepared to leave.
When the matters are finished with his family, he assigned a new Head of the Tech-Engineering Group. He drove his stealth shuttle and headed directly to the void. He chose not to travel using the portal because the pursuer might discover him making his escape.
After two days the entire stronghold of Tech-Engineering Group shacked. Various speculations and news are spreading. Some said that the past Head had died in an accident and the Group is hiding the truth from their citizens, while others guessed that he was being assassinated. This widespread news was Roland's doing. This will give him more time to escape.
